Yawn. Or chew bubble gum. I swear, it helps. It's odd, but it helps. Hope you fix it. D:

swallow and jump with your head to the side. its not the gum chewing...its the juice swallowing
All of you are telling her how to close your ears not pop them! All blowing with your mouth closed will do is close them more.

All I know is to hold your nose and really "blow". Don't be afraid of hurting your ears.

you probably just have to wait for the fluid to drain from your ears. it will take a couple of days.

Thats really annoying. Try yawning, or chewing gum.
Sometimes, listening to loud music helps, too.

I live on a mountain, and to go and do stuff I have to go down the hill everyday. So, When my ears get full. I try to yawn. It sometimes doesn't work because, You ear is to full of liqued. After a while i learned to chew gum. So after you get over a cold chew gum while traviling in a car.
Just for that.

This happens to me every once in a while. It chunks of earwax lodged inside you ear. fin some sort of syringe you can pump water into you ear with. if you've never done it before, your doctor can.( it's not near as effective if you try to do it) If you don't want to go into all the effort, your ear drum will eventually rupture on it's own.( be prepared for a nasty brown gunk to exit...)

Hold your nose and gently blow -- it'll cause your ears to pop.
Don't do it too powerfully though - you may hurt yourself!

DO NOT POP YOUR EARS!!!!! you have fluid in your ears from the flu. if you hold your nose and blow you will only get the fluid more trapped. you need to see a doctor and get medicine to dry up the fluid so you will not get a severe ear infection. i like the description of being in a barrel. i have been looking for a good description for two years now and that is it!! chewing gum does help because the chewing motion helps to move the fluid in the ear.

Um, go to the doc now, I didn't go over a year ago when I had the cold flu, and I still have the problem, except a constant ringing starting shorlty after the plugging happened so for a year now, both has been a constant, literally, constant annoyance in my life and have been seeing all sorts of specialist and nobody can figure it out. Go to the doctor now.

some times a dry swallow will help, not swallowing air, that will only make you burp.
i also put my thumb over my ear, pressing in, and ceiling off, then popping it out, that works once in a while,
