Helen	NO it does not hurt , the brain cannot comprehend what is happening . The brain alerts you to minor injury but shut's down your ability to feel pain when injury is severe , In the case of a beheading minor , severe and fatal injuries would take place before the brain and therefore you could understand what was happening . It All Matters.~☺♥	It all depends on the method. If the head is removed in one quick motion then I would doubt that the beheadee feels anything. The brain would most likely not have time to feel pain before it lost conscientiousness. Having said that. The people that have been beheading "infidels" in Iraq have been doing it by slowly slicing through the neck and then the spinal column. Still_21_nheart	When a person is beheaded the human is dead , because the brain is no longer has the veins connected to the heart. The brain signals that the head is no longer connected to the body. That is why people used the guollitine long ago because it was a quick but unharmful death as far as pain.
