Why is it when I smoke?????
why is it after every time i smoke a cigarette i get really tired and feel like i need to lay down and go to sleep(half the time i do fall asleep)?
Additional Details
i have tried everything to stop smoking, gum, mints, patches,even going cold turkey.

Too much cigarettes.
The chemicals that you inhale from the cigar goes to your brain and into your blood viens.

Your mind weakens after you've had a bit too much. The lungs as well get damaged because of the dirty chemicals that is hurting your lungs.

I suggest that you take it easy with smoking. Maybe smoke 3 cigars a week. That would be a good start.

I suggest that you quit right now before these symptons start to get higher and more difficult for your body.

well first you shouldn't smoke. but i know you already know that so i won't go into a speech on it. maybe you've just smoked too much or too long. and maybe you're lungs are getting weaker. so maybe you should see a doctor. but since you probably won't just try to take a break off of smoking for a bit. try chewing gum. or drinking something.

because...it takes energy out of your body..and so thats not to good...
my friend smokes..but im helping her cut back so she can stop...i really care about her so im making sure that i help her to stop so she wont die as soon as people who smoke all there lives.

*try getting a friend to help you stop...smoking isnt good...you will end up killing yourself if you keep smoking.

Because what happens is smoking raises your blood pressure and makes everything in your body constrict. It makes all your blood vessels and veins constrict. It is not good for you. If you just fall asleep then why don't you just stop smoking.

You aren't smoking enough. Try taking bigger puffs, smoking faster, and chain smoking. Get enough Nicotine in you and you will feel rejuvenated, refreshed.

This happened to me when I first started to smoke. You need to get used to the effects of cigarettes. Also, you're most likely young. You need to stop before you can't.

Its a good reason to quit. I just started the patch. I am giving it my best to quit for my health my chest getting tight and tires all the time and it stinks.With your chest getting tight you need to be check out by a doctor. I did.

it's because the Nicotine is so bad for you, it's starting to shut down your body and make you tired, or fall asleep so your body can work extra hard to try and take in that crap.


the only way to stop it is to quit. The way my friend did was to slowly take less cigarettes, a week, after a couple months he was down to about a cigarette every 2 days. at about 6 months he had completely quit. It may seem like a long time but it's not and it was totally worth it. He has SO much more energy all the time

Okay try this and it may help you quit. Next time when you smoke, don't blow it out right away. Let it sit in your mouth without inhaling or exhaling. Just let the smoke linger in there. Trust me, this will set you straight and make you realize what crap is going into your body.
**everytime you get the urge, do this excersice Good LUCK!

when you inhale smoke from a ciggarette it is replacing air wich is required to give your body energy also your body has to put in more work to replace the oxygen being lost therefore your body goes to sleep.its just your bodys individual way of dealing with it

It's probably the way your body is reacting to the Nicotine even though it's a stimulant. Nicotine has a relaxing effect in the brain. That's why it's addictive, your brain gets used to that feeling which causes you to want to smoke more often. Quite now while you still can.

Nicotine can act as both a stimulant and depressant, actually. You may be feeling more of the relaxing side of the drug when you smoke.
