Bodacious ha ha's	Maybe medication or topical products she is using? My grandmother reaked of cigarette smoke and BenGay. Also I think something happens to the body as it ages to create some kind of odor. I am not sure what kind of smell she has to her but bless her heart I am sure she can't help it. LaughingAtLife	I think is partly due to their dying cells and also due to their loss of a sense of smell so they don't even KNOW they stink. I have a problem even going into 'sick' buildings with mold and dust there, but most people can't even smell it and think I'm crazy. Cat	I've noticed this too. There's a smell at my parents house that wasn't there when they were younger (they're in their mid 70's now). My mom has blatter control problems now and no matter how clean you try to be with that, there's always an odor somewhere. Plus, they have so much old stuff that just starts to smell over time. IS IT CAUSE IM COOL	not all old people smell you know mainly when you get older your brain wares out and they cant think right and they end up peeing there self also they dont have baths that often most old people find it hard to get in baths and showers maybe.. Andyrew	because they are too tired and weak to properly bathe themselves, so other people have to do it for them, for this reason, that's why they don't get clean as often as necessary and it is also not done properly. So elderly people cover it up with chlogne and perfume, which adds to it. Then theres some medications, which either smell on their own [TCP] or have smelly side affects [farts]. seeing as lots of elderly people are on medication this is anohter reason. another reason is they can't smell it, as you get older you become desensitised to smells, sounds, and even colours. another reason is they're not used to it, when they were younger they were lucky if they got a bath a month, habits are often hard to break. However in some cases it's something like that they have too many smelly cats, or they have bad breath. Not all elderly people smell none of my grandparents do.
