When do doctors become patients?

Seriously, I've never saw a doctor see a doctor. So what they do when they get sick?...

papaw	When they get sick! DUH?
regular guy	they see other doctors after hours.
~mobabe~	They see them in the privacy of their offices. I am a nurse and can assure you they do see doctors.........other specialists. But they do have to be pretty sick or do it for screenings because for most ailments they treat themselves. I can also say..........they are the worst patients to take care of.
question&answerman	How do you know if an educated man sitting next to you is a doctor or not? He won't come into the waiting room with his lab coat and stethascope on. I've seen barbers get their hair cut. I'm sure doctors see doctors.
UniCa IJaH	when they are sick and diagnosed... when they , too also need medical attention and treatment
kaitlin	They go when their booty hurts. When they're constipated to a fault and need a colonic cleansing.
MarXidad	If they have a condition that they can treat themselves then they will, otherwise they will see another doctor.

The mom	Well, I have seen doctors get sick. What they do depends on what's wrong with them. While they may order their own labwork, as a rule -yes they do see another doctor for treatment. You aren't supposed to write prescriptions for yourself, it's not considered ethical behavior. But they make horrible patients as a rule, at least from a nursing point of view. But yes, they do see other doctors for their care. A surgeon couldn't very well do it to himself, anymore than a dentist could pull his own tooth.

KathieJo	They see another Doctor that they have decided is very good. They usually become patients long after they should have! Doctors and Nurses are NOT good patients! Really! KJL

CDS♥ツ	they take of themselves when its minor, but when its serious they call one of their friends who are also doctors and they write presicriptions or w.e for them..

Phil	uh...call a friend? theyre doctors and they have doctor friends and thats why u wouldnt really see a doctor seeing a doctor in public?
penguin	diagnose their own problem and get some kind of medicine or subscription--unless it's really serious like a hospital type thing

jakenyr	why would you see a doctor seeing a doctor... do you snoop around hospitals or something? Cause thats what they do. Guess what a surgeon does if he need sugery....

Darren B	they probably give themselves a checkup, or they should know the symptoms of an illness, so it would be easy for them to know if their sick or not
impurrfect10	Believe it or not...they go to a Dr. Many times a Dr. gives professional courtesies to their colleagues and may see them during hospital rounds or after hours.
ugh192	My brother is a doctor and had bad pains in his gut area. He thought appendisitis (sp?). Happened that his appendix was already "dead" for years. They can't figure out how he never felt something. But, since he's a doc with the same network, he got a lot of preferential treatment.
freshbliss	They have someone they work with take a look at them if they can't treat themselves. The get in accidents all the time where they have to go to the ER. Doctors get sick all the time....what is especially hard for them to deal with, is just that - being the patient.
rod85	Just because you don't see them doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I just saw a doctor today who is battling cancer and in the middle of chemotherapy. I know doctor who recently had valve replacement after a long illness. Doctors see other doctors for medical care not only when they get sick but for well patient check ups.
GabsRr	OMG! did you really ask that question.. ? Well, when they have a cough or cold, or just fever they prescribed themselves a medicine, but if its something serious they go and see other doctors...they are also humans...LOL
cutie	Just because you've never seen them go doesn't mean they dont. My dad's a docter and goes all the time.
