I usually Hold my breath for 15 seconds ... like this..
Take a deep breath .. Plug your nose and hold it count to 15 and begin to let it out slowly... if that doesnt work try drinking about 4oz of water and holding breath for 10 seconds.

This is a completely lengthy process:

1.) Take off your left sock
2.) Tug on the nail of your toe by pinching your thumb and index finger over it, slowly at first, with increasing force.
3.) Throw back your head and yell something in German
4.) Touch your nose to the floor and place one hand behind your back.
5.) Cross your legs and lay on your belly

Congratualations! You are now officially a human pretzel!

Oh, and about the hicups.. How the heck should I know what to do?

This sounds confusing but I'm always getting hiccups and it works for me all the time!
1. Hold your breath for about 2-5 seconds
2. Get a small sip of coke or something fizzy
KEEP HOLDING FOR BREATH WHILE YOU HAVE THE DRINK IN YOUR MOUTH
3. leave it there for another 5 seconds or so then swallow the drink and then breath it shouldn't take more then 20 seconds

Get a glass of water then bend over so your upside down and take a drink ..... its not as hard as it sounds

Drink water from the back of the glass - you have to lean forward & concentrate to do this, which is what seems to make it work.

While there is no known medical cure for hiccups I tried the following: Last week I developed the hiccups upon awakening. My head was half off the pillow and I had my mouth open, then got them. I tried something and that was standing straight and bending my head towards my chest, breathing through my mouth. In a second they went away. It was only a chance, but it worked.

hicups are just when you lose controll of your breathe- your Diaphragm does its own thing, the only way to lose it is to think of something else and thus let your breathe take control back.... for example think of what you had for breakfast lunch and tea 4 days ago..... this is literally the only way, all other ways are designed to make you think like this but they do not work as effectively as if you were simply thinking about past events....

i get the hiccups all the time

someone told me to pour a glass of water and put a paper towel over the top and sip it through there. i never tried it.

block your ears and drink...

breathe in as much as you can... hold it for as long as you can... then
breathe out as much as you can... hold that for as long as you can
