Any hard candy will actually do the trick just as well as a throat lozenge. Cheaper too!

The best thing to treat the pain and discomfort with a sore throat is to gargle with Chloraseptic or suck on a Cepacol or Chloraseptic lozenge. The best thing to treat the sore throat itself is to suck on Cold Ease or any other lozenge containing Zinc.

OMG its Jimmy Wang Yang!
Depends on what it is, if its just sore from genneral shouting, then anything warm to lubricate the glands, maybe honey and lemon. If its a medical infection, then see your doctor or pharmacist theyu can advise you safely and maybe prescribe something like penicilin or an antibiotic

When I have a sore throat it is usually frm my sinuses draing in the back of my throat irritating it. I take @ 800 milligrams of Ibuprophen at 1 time and gargle with marm salt water as much as I can. Drinking alot of water also helps flush that stuff from your throat. I only gargle with peroxide if my tonsils have the white pus spots on them- it will draw out the infection. Cough drops throughout the day will help also. Get plenty of rest also.

Medicines.
Tylenol Sore Throat is pretty good. Doesn't have that nasty medicinal taste either. Just tastes like liquid toothpase. XD
The little candies are only for temporary relief.

those candies like halls is for short term like if you have to give a presentation then you can take one or if your throat is really feeling sore, so they work quickly and all they really do is soothe the throat
medicines won't be effective immediately like candies and work more in the long term.
my doctor told me to gurgle salt water

don't talk for at least a week and you're talking the halls lemon cough drops because that might help your sore throat or drink some thermaflu lemon and honey tea you can find that at walgreens or schnucks. You must either sing a lot or talk, or scream a lot everyday because that would strain your vocal cords. I know how you feel I do the first one and I try to practice my singing and I can sing in four octaves 1st soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, and counteralto, so don't overuse your voice then you cannot talk tp nobody just write out on a piece of paper of what you to say and be quiet.
