go to the drugstore and buy a spray called "Solarcaine" in the first aid aisle. Spray it on and it will take the sting out. Noxzema helps too. Stay out of the sun!!

no no don't go swimming. Put your aloe vera or some lotion in the fridge, and apply it whenever you are feeling hot...it will be cold and it will feel so good. If you go out swimming, even with sunblock, it will just hurt your skin more and you will have to wait even LONGER so just let it heal right the first time and get a stronger SPF next time. Watch a movie in front of the AC, and stop crying because it is 110 here! lol

If it still hurts, I would not go into a swimming pool with all those chemicals. If you are going swimming elsewhere I would think it would be OK. Slather on the waterproof Sunscreen half an hour before going out.

1. Swim either early in the morning or late in the evening.
* The sun causes the most damage to your skin between the hours of 10am and 4pm
2. Wear Sunscreen on your entire body.
3. Apply Sunscreen 20-30 minutes before sun exposure.
4. Reapply waterproof sunscreens every 80 minutes or so, after being in the water.
5. Protect your scalp.
* Wear a swim cap to protect your scalp from the sun.

Yeah you can. Watch out for melanoma. I went for years not wearing a shirt in the summer (I'm a guy of course) and had to have one removed. See a dermatologist once a year and get checked. Trust me...you'll be glad you did.

Put lots of olive oil on it so you won't peel as bad. You can go swimming, but it will be murder on your skin.

Of course a sunburn doesn't go away in 1.5 days. It takes longer than that. Yes, you can go swimming, but keep your skin protected with a lot of suntan Lotion and keep re-applying.

Poor thing . . . not such a good idea for the swimming though. Unless it is in the already peeling mode, then don't do it! If it is almost gone, then put on some strong, waterproof sun screen and have fun! Reapply it every hour or so though. Trust me, you don't want a burn on top of a burn. Besides, you should watch out for skin cancer. Protect your skin, leathery skin is not attractive.

Yes----just go get some spf 30 lotion first!!!!! Also pickup some pure aloe vera lotion---get these both at your local Dollar Store/Dollar General/Walmart-----put the aloe on later after you have had your swim and have washed off all the Sunscreen.....it is sooooo cooling......I just got burned Thursday...dumme went out at high noon....but the aloe takes out the burn and can keep you from peeling.....

Sunburn usually takes a week or more to either tan or peel. What I recommend is using aloe vera, it will soothe and cool your skin, especially before going to bed. Also HELL YEAH go swimming! Have a blast in the pool......Just don't forget to apply Sunscreen!
