My boyfriend is pooping blood. he says hes fine i think he should go to the hospital. what should we do?

Confused	I think your right, its a sensible idea to get checked out in these sort of circumstances. I ts an embarrassing situation to be in for many so bear that in mind. He will obviously be panicing himself even if he is not showing it, its only natural, and us humans tend to think of the worst sometimes. Remember its not neccesarily something serious, it may be a fissure (cut/tear) or even piles. Certainly if its a lot of blood, get him there asap no matter what it takes! Good luck and hope hes ok!! upssius	Sounds like a colon problem to me. Unless he is in serious pain I would skip the E.R visit and go to the doctor if he can wait. There are so many reasons for blood in the colon. Seriously, unless he is bleeding profusely, you can wait for the doctor tomorrow. Is he feeling sick or weak? Is he bleeding bad? Many different things could be happening, if it actually looks like blood that indicates that he is bleeding in the lower portion of the colon or within the anal opening/perhaps just on the outside of it (hemorrhoids) If he was bleeding further within the digestive tract, it would not look like blood, it would be a dark tar like substance. Keep in mind that food choices also affect what feces look like. Has he been eating an unusually large amount of food that could cause the change? If you're both concerned, which obviously you are, and though he wont admit to it, the fact that your boyfriend took the time to tell you about does indicate that he is concerned as well; going to the doctors is a good choice.
