If I took one toke of marijuana (one puff), will I get addicted to it all?
I took just one toke today and am wondering whether I'll want it the next day as well, or is it easily ignored?...

On the long term scale no.....you may get addicted to the sensation momentarily, but if either unnoticed or just avoided the "need for weed" dies out quickly, of course if you have an addictive personality and are a cigarette smoker....your chances are greater, especially if you take the one toke before, after, or during your cigarette. There are other rare circumstances that also make it either easier or basically impossible for you to become addicted off of just on toke....mostly medical conditions like scizsofrenia (not spelled right) and bi-polar are easily addicted, while stuff like Asma makes in impossible to even take a toke propery or at all. So yes you can get addicted from one toke of a marijuana cigarette....it's just not very likley |

No, you will not get addicted to marijuana after one puff. In fact, there is no such thing as a physical addiction to marijuana. There are psychological addictions, but that is a different type of addiction. Physical addictions are what you get from speed, heroine, and Cocaine. This is when the person must use in order to function. But most people with this type of addiction will binge for quite sometime living off of the substance, and when they run out they will begin to feel withdraw symptoms. These symptoms are usually identified as pain. A psychological addictions are when someone convinces thier mind that they must have the substance in order to experience pleasant feelings. Such as relaxing, calming down, and mellowing out. As I said before Marijuana does not have physical addictive qualities. A person of stong mind can smoke the night before and easily ignore notions of getting high again. I would not worry about weed. Marijuana has been used medicinally and recreationaly for literally thousands of years. Ancient chinese used cannibus to alleve pains of childbirth, headaches, and many more. Marijuana has quite an interesting past, and I encourage you to access NORML literature online. The United States Government has used lies to scare the American people as to what marijuana does to you. Old government propaganda against weed claimed that marijuana brought out sexual demons in those that smoked it. The reason our government has made it illegal is because it is more profitable for the government if it is illegal. Do not listen to closed minded individuals that have bought into lies that marijuana makes you stupid and ruins your life because it does not. Many countries around the world have either abolished or simply ignored thier marijuana laws. In England you can walk down the street smoking a joint and walk by a cop and most likely they will not even give you a second look. They have adopted a seize and warn policy. Canada simply ignores that is illegal because they "are more worried about real drug crime." So have a puff without worry |

no you will not get addicted to this with just one puff. but if you continue this path you will aquire a need for it. the best thing is to decide do you want a life thats bound to a substance or do you want a life that has purpose and meaning. the drunk didnt become drunk the first time he drank. he kept on this path until he aquired a taste for it and it took him over.life is full of choices and its your decision what you want for your life. |

No, you won't get addicted, but if you liked it, you might miss it. I wouldn't recommend trying it again, though. It's illegal and it's not really worth all that. |

no, you are not physically addicted to marijuana at this point, but are you still curious? That would be the temptation, is if you are curious. |

MARIJUANA IS NOT PHYSICALLY ADDICTIVE. your body will not want more marijuana. you will not get any withdrawl symptoms. however, you MENTALLY may want more marijuana if you enjoyed it. think of it like a brand new flavor of ice cream. your body is not going to crave it. nothing is going to happen if you don't eat it. however, you may want it mentally, since you liked it. |

No, for several reasons, one of which is that marijuana has an extremely low risk of causing physical dependence. People who use marijuana chronically do it because they choose to, not because they feel they have to. Physical dependency just really doesn't happen with marijuana. And with one puff, you would not even get high. |

Of course not. In fact, you can take multiple puffs, on various instances, and not become addicted at all. Try that next time, and I assure you, you won't be so concerned the day after. Enjoy your life. |

I've smoked weed before. And quit with no problem. The last time I smoked I said I wasn't gonna do it anymore. And I haven't. I don't think you'll get addicted to it. Word of advice though, STAY AWAY FROM CIGARETTES. I smoked them and I've been addicted since. They say they're more addictive than herorin. |

no, you wont even get high and marijuana is not physically addictive, it is only considered addictive by how much a person likes it (chance of mental addiction according to how much YOU like it) |
