You should take a nice warm shower, then if you still itch use some aloe lotion.
This always works for me.

I agree with Oz because my doctor recommended the same treatment. You should note that the temperature should be hot, but not enough to harm to skin. It's also good to keep a warm washcloth on the affected area to relieve itchiness. Mosquito saliva contains protein left inside the bite and the heat neutralizes the protein which causes the irritation. Hydrocortisone is an anti-itch treatment that is most known for relieving the itch associated with rashes.

My son and I have bad reactions to mosquito bites and I have found the best thing to get rid of the itch and take the red out is vanilla extract. It helps and you smell like a cookie!

If you're able to, take Benadryl allergy pills. Since it's an antihistamine it will help stop the itching. For topical use you could try Benadryl cream or and oatmeal bath. Also I find that Tea Tree Oil is best for topical applications, it can be found it almost every store including Walmart, ShopRite and so on.

Hey I just moved to Oklahoma and my daughter and I have been eaten up by the mosquitos too. The only thing that I have found that really works is Cortizone-10 cream, it works like magic!!!

Ammonia on a cotton ball, rubbed gently over the bites. The insect pens available in your local drug store or grocery store are ammonia based so...this is a cheaper way to go.
After living in Alaska for 20 years where the mosquito is the "state bird", I know this works.
Also...toothpaste can help as well. And DON'T scratch!

You both need antihistamine as this will reduce the reaction, therefore reduce the swelling and redness and itching. Can get it in cream or tablets. Piriton is a good one.
Try Calamine lotion, aloe vera, cold packs etc

Ok I have seen many people say to take a warm or hot shower... that is not a good idea I don't know exactly what it will do but it will dry out your skin and make the itching worse. Luke warm water is the best. I know that hot water may make it feel better for a bit but the relief won't last. Oh and I advise alcohol. I use it on my kid and she loves it. It stops the itching almost instantly and the reddness goes away shortly after.
