get plenty of rest and go to the doctor if it doesnt clear in threee days. It could be strep throat, and if it is then antibiotics are needed. Other than that, rest and drink TheraFlu. I do and it feels wondeful for a while! Its in the medicine colds section in stores.

Do you like Garlic? If so do the following
Take 1 bulb of Garlic and peel away all the paper. Using heavy duty tin foil, fold over and make a bowl shape. Place the Garlic in the centre and drizzle with olive oil (or dots of margarine if you have no oil on hand) sprinkle with salt and pepper. Seal the foil "bowl" and place in a 250F oven for 1 hour. Eat the Garlic cloves whole!
If you have the money - buy "Cold FX"... pretty pricy though!
Buy Zinc lozenges with Ecanetia (spelling?) or gargle with salty water (1 glass of warm water, mix in 1 tsp salt... swish and gargle every other hour).
Take Vitamin C - if drinking orange juice hurts your throat - go to the doctor, it could be an infection or beginning stages of strep.
Drink PLENTY of water
REST REST REST! Turn up the heat, bundle down and sweat it out!

ah, this is another easy problem that can be solved for the sore throat gragle salt with water, yes i know does not taste plesent, but indeed it does work and for the running nose get night time flu works the best iv used it and i was better the next day :D

Along with your medication, Vitamin C (orange juice is always good) and some Cod Liver Oil always help. Then of course you need to rest (not necessarily sleeping).

boil some chicken soup and keep taiking it after every 3 hours,if you get really sick go to the doctor

If you have a runny nose that's most likely the cause of your sore throat from the drainage into your throat so first try gargling with very warm salt water every hour or so to relieve the sore throat and take something with an antihystimine to dry up the runny nose. Go to bed and sleep a lot.

get rest , drink plenty of clear fluids and eat jello if you can;t keep anything down...or see a doc?
Read a book so you are not dwelling on your illness. Wash your hands a lot to and wash everything like sheets when your all better.
Its a good idea to get a new toothbrush when you are better bcuz the sick germs are on it right now and when you use it when ur healthy...u could get sick again real soon.

I usually take vitamin C tablets. One after each meal. It helps me get better faster but may be it's just me. It takes time. Rest and get better. Happy new year to you! Take care!
