I would say that you are rather young for chest pains, how frequent are they? do you have any breathing problems associated with them.
Do you smoke? Have you lifted weights recently or did any sort of exercise that might have caused you to pull anything.
Bottom line I guess is when in doubt check it out.

I used to get chest pains when I was your age. They were panic attacks brought on by overindulgence of caffeine & sugar while being SUPER stressed out.
You shoulf go to a doctor for testing to rule out anything else just in case.

You may have indigestion or a heart condition or an esophageal stricture. The easiest thing to rule out would be indigestion. Does it happen more after a meal? Try drinking 7-up and see if you are able to burp. If this doesn't help, suspect one of the other items I suggested. Only a Dr can rule these out. And DON'T be afraid to go.

You make it sound like a regular thing... and not something that happened once or twice.
This makes me think it's stress related.
You need to see your doctor to rule out anything serious.
You can deal with it, rather than tolerate it and/or worry about it (which can make the situation much worse).

Did you know that when people suddenly drop dead of a heart attack it usually turns out that they have been ignoring chest pains for six months. It's best to go see a doctor and get it checked out. It's not worth it if you ignore it and you are wrong.

Have you started lifting weights? If not, this is not normal and you really need to speak to a health professional or proceed to your closest health facility.

Take some meds like Tylonal or something. If your chest pains increase, it would be wise to visit your doctor, or get new medications. If things are very serious, you may want to go to the hospital.
Hope you feel better.

Check it out with your doctor. You may have Gastric Esophogeal Reflux Disease (GERD)and need an upper GI which is an easy non-invansive x-ray of the upper part of your digestive system.

Well I think you took the appropriate first step by posting your serious medical inquiry on an internet message board. This should be immediately followed up by consulting your horoscope in the local newspaper.
If that doesn't work I would call a plumber as soon as possible.

"Chest pains" is a pretty broad description, one that covers everything from a pulled muscle to heartburn to bronchitis to a full-blown heart attack. If you have access to a telephone advice nurse, then give him/her a call. Otherwise, schedule a checkup with your primary care doc.
