Well after trying both Head and Shoulders and Selson Blue, my best suggestion is to just shave your head or get a buzz cut. From all of my friends' experiences, this was the best way to relieve the situation and it does in fact work and is very cost efficient too. I know you will have to deal with a new appearance, but it may even help you get more girls --

Go to a store that sells hair products, and find Heads and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner, which is made especially for dandruff. It works wonders, and it takes away dandruff in a short time. :]

Neuterogena T-Gel or Head and Shoulders extra strength.
Good luck. Go see a dermatologist if you have to.
Dandruff is just a sign of dry scalp. In severe cases, if can make you scratch your scalp raw, so seek medical attention if this doesn't go away or heal soon. Check out a product like scalpacin. I heard it works wonders.

selsum blue with aloe works for me. If that doesn't work heat up olive oil and put it on your scalp (don't make it too hot obviously) and put a shower cap and towel over your head and leave it on for 20 mins or longer if necessary.

Anti-dandruff shampoo, if it really doesn't work then you probably have a different skin irritant than the (mystery) one that causes dandruff. You'll need to go see your doctor.

T-gel shampoo work really good... also go to the store and look for shampoo thats talks about really dry scalp and try those. If none of those works you could always go to a salon and ask the hair stylist there what they think you should do.... good luck

Methods of getting rid of dandruff
Commercial dandruff shampoos
Here I will list the active ingredients used in the most common anti-dandruff shampoos and explain what they do. Make sure you read the labels when shopping for a particular ingredient since the same brand often produces similar products with different ingredients. Always follow the instructions on the labels.
Zinc pyrithione
(Head & Shoulders classic, Pert Plus dandruff Control)
Zinc pyrithione, or Zinc omadine is an anti-fungal and Antibacterial agent that is most commonly used to fight the dandruff caused by yeasts and fungi. Once you begin using this treatment, stopping will often cause dandruff to return worse than before treatment began.
Ketoconazole
(Nizoral AntiDandruff shampoo)
Ketoconazole is an anti-fungal drug used to treat dandruff caused by yeasts and fungi. Dandruff usually returns after treatment is stopped.
Selenium Sulfide
(Selsun blue, Head & Shoulders Intensive)
Selenium Sulfide is an anti-fungal agent used to treat dandruff caused by yeasts and fungi. In the US, 1% solutions can be purchased over-the-counter and 2.5% solutions are available by prescription. Dandruff often returns when treatment is stopped.
Coal Tar
(Ionil-T, Neutrogena T/Gel therapeutic)
Coal Tar is a liquid by-product of the distillation of coal. It is used in shampoos meant to treat head lice and psoriasis. Be warned, Coal Tar is on the NIOSH carcinogen list as a potential cancer-causing agent.
Salicylic Acid
(Ionil)
Salicylic Acid based shampoos are used to help the scalp shed excess skin more easily, which in turn helps to keep skin pores from getting clogged.
HOPE THIS HELPS!! :)

How long are you rinsing your hair? try rinsing longer.Like for one whole song on the radio, yea that long, just rinse! if you still have flakes you can use vinegar to help cleanse the scalp at the end of the shampoo but before the conditioner. yes you need conditioner its a moisturizer. maybe your scalp is just dry from the wrong choice of shampoos. what kind of shampoo are you using? clarifying shampoos are too harsh for daily use. find a stylist in your area and ask for guidance in understanding the products, each line has just about the same stuff ,although they each may have their own name for each item like how pal-made is pal made but a bunch of companies make the stuff... capish?

We wish we knew what you have tried. Head and Shoulders is so very good!!!
You don't want to hear this, I know.....but you may not have dandruff. You could have an eczema. If you've tried all the over the counter dandruff shampoos, please see your doctor. There are prescriptions that can do wonders for you!!!
If you have a mom that pays for stuff, you need to seek her help and tell her this. You really need help for that scalp.

You could have psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis or fungal infection which all are conditions that can appear to be dandruff on your head. Go see a dermatologist and they can see what's up. Also, try and not scratch it.

Treat a dry scalp with Moisturizing oils and lotions to get rid of dandruff. An invigorating scalp scrub or oil (try something with Peppermint in it) can help to heal dry and flaky skin, as well as improve circulation -- another key factor in the presence of dandruff. Other ways to improve circulation to and treat an irritated scalp include alternating rinses under cold and warm water, exercising in the fresh air and sunshine (use Sunscreen), and brushing or massaging your scalp before shampooing.
A healthy diet can prevent and get rid of dandruff. Excessive intake of fats, oils, starches, sugars can create the imbalances and nutritional deficiencies that cause an unhealthy scalp and, in turn, dandruff. B Vitamins (especially B6), Vitamin A, healthy fats found in nuts and flax, Garlic, and oil of Oregano are all feasible dandruff-fighting dietary supplements. Food allergies can also be behind your dandruff; common allergies include chocolate, nuts, and shellfish.
Stress and anxiety can contribute to dandruff. Emotional, mental, and physical stress play a huge factor in your overall health, dandruff and scalp included. Lack of sleep and rest, stress and worry about your work and/or personal life, illness, and fluctuating hormones can all contribute to your dandruff problem. Just because something bigger doesn't seem directly connected to the state of your scalp doesn't mean you can discount in your dandruff treatment plan. Be aware of your mental and emotional state of health, and be willing take steps to improve problems there in order to get rid of physcial problems like dandruff.
