Personal use, no. Medical use? Only if it's in pill form. |

only for medical use..i know a bunch of damn idiots are gonna make a plea for making recreational use legal on the grounds that other countries do..but one problem..this country is full of idiots like them that would abuse the priviledge..you can't compare their society to ours when ours is so out of wack..bastard pot heads..use drugs to deal with their problems |

When very sick people get to the point of not wanting to eat, either due to their illness, or the medications that they are on, My answer would be yes. It stimulates Ones Desire to Eat. That would be very beneficial to them. It is just a shame that closed minded individuals can not recognize this information as a documented fact. Perhaps it is like finally getting a much needed red light at a dangerous intersection, but Someone has to lose Their Life first. Maybe when those in power, become ill, and need the benefits from this drug to assist in their recovery, then and only then, may it be possibly passed into Law. Then perhaps the need for such a helpful tool to the sick will be allowed. But then again those in government positions have a way of getting their hands on certain items that the regular Public can not, and being Politicians, they might not want anyone to know. So We are back to square one. As far as I know the only medical condition that it has been approved for is Glaucoma, and even then some are still having difficulty obtaining it. And, I thought that I had heard recently on the News that they were going to stop that. |

It should be fully legalized. It's not half as dangerous as alcohol or fast food and both of those are legal. Alcohol can absolutely destroy the body and mind in a very short period of time. Fast foods kill people everyday via diabetes, heart disease, stroke, etc. Marijuana isn't good for you. It dulls the senses. It's bad for the lungs. But used in moderation it's a hell of a lot safer than Jack Daniels or McDonald's. "sir caterpiller": You sure use the term "idiots" loosely. I'm not saying you're an idiot but.....okay yeah. I am. Read my post and see if you can find ANY objectively verifiable evidence to contest it. |

No. People have enough trouble controlling themselves with it being illegal as is. Make it legal so even more people can lose control? No way. |

i thought it was legalized for medicinal use there already? It shouldnt be legalized for personal use, thats just saying drugs are ok, saying that though unless your a grower/dealer I dont think the consequences should be too bad if caught with a small amount. |

Of course it should.Maryjane could replace thousands of anxiety drugs, nerve pills, pain pills all kinds of DRUGS that already have been proven to have catastrophic side effects. They just need to find a way to keep it from the kids. |

YES. If it is legalized, then the government can highly tax and regulate it's sales. When there is a high tax on an item, less and less people are willing to buy it (ex: cigarettes). Plus, if it's not illegal anymore, less teenagers will think it's cool and rebellious to do, which is why most start smoking it in the first place. |

It would be nice! For some people. Not me. I would NEVER, EVER do that. I could get grounded. |

Absolutely yes. Especially for the reasons it was made illegal in the first place. If you don't know; it was ok to smoke until the paper companies paid off lawmakers because they were afraid of the economic challenge of making paper from hemp. Big business affecting every smoker today. It definitely should be legal for medicinal purposes and in home study. |

Should be, but will it, doubtful. But, if it were I would say to retain the law that it would be illegal to "grow your own" and have it available like cigarettes so it could be taxed. I think some of the desirability and mystery would be gone if it were legal and easy to get. |

Not a user. Yes it should be as legal as alcohol. |
|
| |
freyas_kin28 |
Yes! It's a hell of a lot less dangerous than alcohol. Did you ever see anyone fly into a rage and start a brawl when they were under the influence of weed? Nah, you get too mellow and happy to be mad at anyone or anything. And if you for some odd reason TRIED to start a fight, you'd probably fall over and end up laughing yourself silly instead..... Although, if it were legalized, I think the same sorts of restrictions should be put on it as there are for alcohol, like no flying high and driving at the same time, that sort of thing. |

i'll be investing in doritos and lil debi stock when it does lol. Medical it already is, i think the only reason its not now is because the government has no way to put a tax on something thats so easily grown in your own home lol. |

For medicinal use - YES It truly does help persons with MS and Epilepsy. Also persons with Cancer can at least regain somewhat of an appetite if allowed to use marijuana. I am sure there are many many benefits for numerous diseases that we don't know about. Myself, I could not take something from someone if it improves their quality of life from a "2" to a "7". |

Absolutely! You never heard of a group of people on marijuana breaking out into fights and brawling....they're just extremely mellow and laid back. I think that the age of smoking marijuana should be the same as it is for drinking.....21 in most states. Altho' I do not part take any longer in smoking marijuana I don't believe it is any more detrimental to one's health than drinking or smoking and should not be a drug that is considered illegal. |

No! My first thought is people smoking it while driving. There's already so many DUI's out there. |

yes, and if they using it for medical purposes apparently its doing something GOOD to the body and not harming it. cause why would they have it for med. purpose if it was gonna be harmful for the person. |

YES! 1) Weed never killed anyone like a drunk driver. 2) It is damn near impossible to OD on weed. 3) If the government would regulate it, the quality would greatly improve!!! |

Certainly. Note that whereas God created the herb, man came up with the more dangerous beer. |

Absolutely. It is safer than asprin. |

Absolutely. There is a HUGE demmand for it in the medical feild. I don't like to see people suffer needlessly, in pain, when all they need is some marijuana. It has fewer negative side effects than most tradional analgesics that are being today and very often, marijuana is the ONLY thing that works for them. I think it is a tragedy that it is still illegal. I am an RN and I can tell you, even the doctors think it should be legalized. Who in the government, decided that they know more about medicine than the American Medical Association? It truly is an outrage and rediculous. For those of you out there that are thinking that marijuana would be abused, I can assure you that it would be a CONTROLLED substance, like all other controlled medication, by the DEA. It would be by prescription only, that would be legal. |

Yes I do. For adults, Just like alcohol. And of course they should tax it. You could use the tax money to pay hospitals for the care all those drunks in there with cirrhosis of the liver. We could do so much with the Tax revenue it would be amazing.. We could let the folks who are losing the family farms grow it. Save our farmers. Also you could use the oil from it for so many reasons as well as the fact that HEMP is a versatile rope.. It has so many uses besides getting a buzz.. And as for medicinal purposes, Well duh!!! Why should medicine that helps any sick person be withheld from that person? They can get all manner of narcotics and crank and Valium, & etc. But can`t have a natural herb.. God gave us all the plants and herbs to use according to our purposes. You can peel the bark off of a Willow tree and have natural Aspirin from tea made with it. You can make a calming cup of Chamomile tea. Valium comes from the Valerian Plant.. Almost all medicines come from plants and animals.. Why should this herb/plant be any different. I would certainly much rather be driving down the street with someone in the next lane going 20 miles an hour looking for the 7/11 and a cookie and a slurpy, than some angry drunk going 80 miles an hour and seeing doubles.. You would NOT have children standing on street corners selling dime bags for some rich people in Organized crime so they don`t go to jail. After all your Kid gets right out... You would actually have room in the jails for child molesters and rapists and murderers and thieves and muggers, and purse thiefs and robbers and burglars and thugs of all kinds. WOW Imagine that!!! They would actually do their time.. What an idea!!! <>< |
