Not sure about that one, it needs more research!
But if its any help then I can confirm that if you are sitting in a hot tub and one escapes, by the time the bubble reaches the surface and bursts the smell is amplified about 5 times, very interesting subject for study !
I started a degree course in 'fartology' but had to quit, the students we're stinking the place out with their experiments.
