I think it can have an affect but in has been proven that the ions that are in the air before a thunderstorm make you feel better-which is strange because thunderstorms are miserable.
You can buy an ioniser to recreate the effect

I don't think it can 'determine' it... if you are all loved up and happy, a little rain won't spoil the way you feel.
Likewise if someone has died or you have split from a partner or something, a bit of sunshine won't help.
Saying that I do think that the weather can INFLUENCE your mood. If you're in a mediocre mood, the weather can make you feel more miserable or happier!

I think the weather can determine the mood we are in for example, If its cold and raining we can be miserable and sad or If the sun is out we can be happy because, we want to go outside and enjoy the fresh air.

No. We learn all these from TV and people around us. I used to think our mood is affected by the weather until I joined the army.
When I was in the army, all the soldiers are so happy to see rain because we have to stay indoors and there is no training.

I sure think it does. In summer when the sun is out (or at least supposed to be) everyone seems a whole heap happier. Longer days and beer gardens all the way. In winter when the nights raw in and the weather is crappy people become crabby. When its raining and miserable people become miserable! I mean, who's happy about looking like a drowned rat! There's also a medical term for the whole season change and people who actually become depressed by the changes. It's called Seasonal Affective Disorder.

it depends on your disposition, people claim SAD (seasonal affective disorder) makes them blue during winter but i think it it in their own heads.
i love the rain sometimes and it makes me as happy as the sun on other day, it depends on the mood you are in in the first place

Absolutely. Take the disorder of SAD, it makes people really depressed. A little sunshine is always good. Everything looks better in the sun.

Sure, I have a permanent rain cloud over my head and look at the state of me
SAD ( seasonal adjustment disorder ) is when you get pissed off because autumn or winter arrives.
Don't we all feel happier in the summer ?
However, that could to do with the clothes all you beautiful women wear when the weather is hot.

Scientifically speaking,....
Barometric pressure can alter moods, and so can the negative ions produced when water hits against itself.
That means rain, like waterfalls and surf, should make you happier. The electricity produced by storms should be able to alter mood, more excited probably.
However these affects pale into insignificance against what really alters our moods,....... experience.
If you are happy about something, for no reason, it's most likely because it has given you joy in the past. And vice-versa.

I think it does with some people, they get that seasonal affected disorder or whatever it is called, where they get depressed because of lack of sun in the winter. However, I love the rain, it is vital for the growth of flowers and plants, so I am grateful for the rain, the cooler weather is much more refreshing

No it can NOT.
I am always miserable in the hot/sunny weather. And happy in the cold/rainy weather.
I've said this before and I will say it again I HATE the heat.

Without a doubt!
The sun stimulates the body to produce chemicals which affect our mood (happy hormones!) so it is logical to assume that lack of sun equals feeling down.
Then there is the Seasonal Affective Disorder where sufferers actually need tretment to stop them becomming suicidal during the winter months.

I believe it can yes, alot of people seem more happy in the summer time and miserable in the winter, but also on the other hand in the winter people seem to give more compared to the summer (not sure why) but yes the weather definitely changes the mood people are in,
