show her pictures of lungs with cancer/.... and every time you smell it on her. let it be known 'ewww whats the bad smell' may e start gagging. maybe even write your name on the cigarettes, like i reason for her to stop is you.
the gum worked for me. but sadly i started again, so I'm gonna have a to quit again.

the next time you go out on a date, fill your mouth with a big wad of Copenhagen, and then kiss her.....tell her that is what her mouth tastes like since she started smoking. I would call that shock therapy.

This is very uncomfortable watching chemo patients get hooked up to IVs
It cured my daughter of smoking.
There are so many doctor visits that if she spent time around a cancer patient and offered to take them to doctor visits, get meds or just be around and listen
Cancer is one result of smoking, so get her started on what her life can be like in the future

yeah get some patch/ill/gum maybe ask a gp or doctor for advice on which works and is affordable
maybe show her pictures of what happens in the long term when a person smokes
maybe get a celebrity[whom she likes] opinion of smoking

I was lucky and I still have no idea how I did it but I went cold turkey 2 years ago. Cravings never go away and I put on a lot of weight (that's a bonus, I'm 5/7 and used to only weigh 109 lbs so I needed to gain some). I didn't have luck with any gum or patches but I got a prescription for "Zyban." It didn't help me quit but honestly when I was on it I wasn't really wanting to quit. Zyban is technically an antidepressant but is now also being used to help people stop smoking... It doesn't help the cravings but it helps with the moodiness and irritability a lot of people get while trying to stop.
Another thing you may want to do is just walk around a local hospital for about an hour or so and count how many people you see with tubes in their throats. I work in a hospital and I think that was my main motivation for quitting.

Just drop it and stay away for as long as you can, if you do wait longer times then before you can have one(puff), While still trying to lengthen the time frames.
Ether leave it up to her.

I would let her know of the things it could do to her. Often, when people start smoking, they have no idea what they are getting themselves into. Tobacco is o of the worst drugs there is, but most people don't know that or think about it because it is legal, which it shouldn't be. I think the best thing to do is to tell her what smoking could do to her, and maybe that would convince her to quit. Also, if she wants a really good medicine that stops the addiction of smoking, tell her to try Chantix. It's the best thing out there.

If you really love her you'll love her for who she is even though she started smoking. But maybe she started to smoke maybe she's going through some stress ask her why.

well...there is this type of gum that helps people stop..or you can show her all the bad things that will happen to her...and if she really cares about her beauty you can take her to a bar and show her how girls are that smoke and i dont think she will want to turn in to that. its just a couple of ideas.dont get mad at me if they dont work or if she gets mad at you for trying to get her to stop.you can always ask a doctor to. wish you luck♥♥

Don't let her tell you that she is already addicted - if she just started it will be very easy for her to just stop.
Since it really bothers you, you might want to give her an ultimatum - the cigarettes or you. Her choice.

If she just started, she can quit easily. Tell her to do this NOW, before it is too late. She won't need Gum or patches.

It's not hard if she just started. Tell her that it doesn't seem like much money now but as the addiction gets worse so will the expense. I could make payments on a nice car for what they cost me.
Also tell her to sit in front of the tobacco shop and look at the skin of the people going in to buy the habit.

Some more ammo... Tell her to think about how her clothes, her car, and hair smell.Also when she is "hooked" she will be treated like she has the plague while standing outside in the weather to get a fix. It controls your actions. Why would she want that?

Addiction occurs with cigarettes in as few as THREE cigarettes, so it really does not matter or not. She's probably addicted now.
YOU can't get her to STOP. ONLY SHE can, IF she wants to.
So you basically have TWO choices.
Put up with it or find a non-smoking girlfriend. Be prepared to back up your threat if she refuses to quit. Other than that, you are HOSED.
