It's not bad to sleep in your bra. It is just that 'heavier' breasts need a rest. The straps tend to cut into your skin after so many hours, hence the concept of the 18 hour bra. Sports bras are ok to sleep in because they allow your breasts to rest more naturally. Plus sleeping in a bra can ruin your bra, especially if you are a rough sleeper. I would have to guess it depends on the style of the bra and the cup size whether or not it is bad to sleep in a bra. Underwire is only comfortable for so long.

I've never heard that..I thought it was good, because you're supporting them and not straining the ligaments.

yes, it not only is not cumfy, but it restricts blood flow and can hurt your shoulders with pressure from the straps. Just go to bed cumfy

bras offer support for when you are standing up. They don't do that much when you are lying down. So it may not be physically harmful, BUT once you start sleeping with someone they may take it as a sign you aren't interested.
If you feel the need for cover, get a "teddy", or a T-shirt.

I don't think it really matters. It isn't the most comfortable. Far as skin breathing if you wear anything to bed that still covers your skin. Most people probably don't except when they are passed out or at someones house for a night. The only other time that I have heard about it on a regular basis was with my Aunt who was having serious back problems with age and needed to sleep in a bra to help with them.

No I don't think so. I've heard the comment that it causes breast cancer but I don't think there's any proof of it.

Yes your skin needs to breathe at night. You should not sleep with a bra or underwear on at night. THose areas need a chance to air out.

Anything that keeps pressure on your skin isn't good.
Guys have gotten cancer where they sit on their wallet.
I think it's because the area is deprived of blood flow (oxygen).

It's not bad to sleep with a bra, it's just not as comfortable or freeing! LOL!
I sleep with one every time I'm breast feeding, & there are no side effects or negative attributes. (Except if you don't sleep with one, you might end up with wet pjs. :)
The choice is up to you. Whatever your preference is. If you like to run-around in the evening in your pjs & there are people around, you might prefer to wear one, but you can always remove it when you go to bed.

it is better to remove your bra before sleeping because it promotes blood circulation in your body better.

Yes it can be. If your bra has a metal underwire it can aggitate you skin during you sleep. It is good for you to let you body really relax and sleeping in a bra is not relaxing... atleast to me.... I have also heard that t is not good becasue it can constrict blood flow to the body and it can damage circulation...

Yes, it is bad. It actually cuts off your breathing. There have been studies about this actually. Women are wearing tight clothes and these things all effect us. Even when they are properly fitting they should be removed at night so your body can breathe.

Actually no. It is not bad at all, it won't give you cancer or anything like that, and it will actually help your boobs not get saggy! The less you wear your bra, the saggier they get, so take your pick! I rather be a bit uncomfortable while sleeping..

It is not unhealthy to sleep with a bra on - just uncomfortable. Do what makes you feel comfortable.
There is no correlation between bras and breast health, nor is there any correlation between bra-wearing and sagging. Bras do not prevent breasts from growing, otherwise all women would end up the same size as their training bras!
The ligaments that support the breasts naturally Loosen as they age. There ARE exercises that one can to to counteract the effects of aging.
Breasts do not need to "breathe". There is nothing abnormal about sleeping in the nude. There is NO link between sleeping with a bra on and folliculitis - nothing like tossing a red herring into to the discussion!
There is not one single shred of peer-reviewed medical evidence that indicates ANY harmful effect of sleeping in a bra. Do what is comfortable for you. Let your body's comfort guide you.
The ignorance of some people is palpable.

Yes, I think it is bad and harmful with a bra on during your sleep. I heard before on 1 of the TV shows, explained by some bras experts.
They said that when you're sleeping with a bra (either underwire or nonwire type) on, you're in fact affecting the blood circulation flowing under the breasts, hence making bad blood flow. Worst case can even linked to forming of breast lumps which may turn into cancer at a later stage. And having a bra on during your sleep can also affect the pores on the breasts to stop breathing fresh air, thus in turn, less oxygen in the blood flow on the breasts areas.
Myth:
Some old folks said before if you wear a bra to sleep, you'll have problems of growing bigger breasts, especially during the puberty period, when the breasts need additional room to fully developed.
Actually. I wld say it is really up to the individual of who to believe. If you really feel uncomfy to sleep with a bra on, then just don't wear it and especially for ladies who have bigger breasts or still growing in puberty stage, I wld highly suggest to sleep without having a bra on. I normally will not wear a bra to sleep because it is really uncomfy.
