Ian :-)	There is no medical reason for circumcision. I think that you are just still trying to get your own way and have contrived this situation so that you can get around your husbands obvious lack of consent. Stop thinking of what you want you stupid woman, this proceedure is painful for an older child. Leave him alone until he can make his own decision. And your correct, at the age of your son there isn't a doctor in the civilised world that will do it because it is an unneccesary proceedure. Not even going private. Was this answer helpful to you? American Pride	GET IT DONE AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE! I have known a few men that have not and deeply regretted it upon becoming an adult. Young children do not understand how important it is to thoroughly clean under the extra skin. Unless there is a medical need (as there now is in your son's case), getting this procedure done for a child is cosmetic. let them make their own mind up. 99%+ of the population do not have a problem, and the whole "hygiene" argument is rubbish. jenzen25	my son could not be circumcised for medical reasons at birth. so we had it done by a urologist when he was 18 months old. it is a horrible thing to go through as parents. i would not have had it done, if he didn't have to. he had scar tissue and it wouldn't allow the foreskin to go back. there was another issue but i forget what they called it, something like chordee? anyway he healed up just fine, and apparently it looks normal. white_funny_girl	my little brother had it done when he was three, though his was for medcal reasons. he had it done at St peters hospital in chertsey. the only other way i can think of is to contacts a jewish priest (Im not sure what they called) and ask about having ur son circumcised Was this answer helpful to you? peek-a-boo	listen,people in the west doesn't understand the importance of circumsision..its not just done for medical purposes but for hygenic purposes..yeah,it hurts but as time passes,it'll heal..if i were you,go to hospital were this thing could be doine..there are different kinds of cuts though but the most popular is the german cut..just ask your doc about this things..or if not,go to a jewish priest..or your last option,go to the east..in the philippines,this is widely done..for hygenic purposes... Hibee	You say that you have been told that he may "need" to be circumcised. Is this a medical need? If so, there will be no problem in finding a doctor. If you mean that some other person or persons "require" him to be circumcised, you should give the matter, and this person or persons, some thought. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Jude	If it is for health reasons, you should be able to get it done on the NHS, ask your GP to refer you to your local hospital. Our son was circumcised at 10 months on the NHS, for health reasons (the foreskin was too tight and he couldn't wee properly). Go back to your GP and find out what the score is. We live in London (Hillingdon) and got the referral through really quickly. If it is genuinely a medical condition there should be no problem. (Sun Is Shining is talking rubbish - the real mutilation would have been for us to leave our son uncircumcised so that he would have had infections and pain every time he did a wee). danielparrilla@sbcglobal.net	You need to find a local urologist in pediatrics. I had my son last month and got the bill $350.00 my mouth fell open at the bill. Most insurance health plans do not cover that expense. Perhaps yours will d/t it being medically necessary. I don't know about London, England but in the states you can get it done all the time. joe perkinstein	I know someone who had this done as a ten year old and it can be very painful.. I wouldnt recommend it unless its a medical thing and in that case he would be entitled to nhs surgery.. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
