FYI - hunger pains is your body's way of telling you it's gone into 'starvation mode'....that's not good. i hope you're not one of those people that thinks no eating actually helps you lose weight. your body is going to go into hybernation without food all the time and it will store fat like a bear. not what you want i'm assuming.
PS. Eat walnuts or almonds as snacks. They curb hunger because their complex GOOD fats fill your stomach.

Sounds like you are on a diet like myself.
I find that being hungry doesn't happen if I am staying hydrated and eat often enough.
It's not about being hungry, it's about eating to nourish yourself, not overindulge or starving yourself. About an hour to an hour and a half before I go to bed I have a snack of protein- cheese of any kind or yogurt does well, sometimes nuts, but that depends on how your system agrees with more solid food like nuts so close to bed.
What your body needs when you get hunger pains at that point in the day is usually protein, and protein easily satisfies.
Water is also key, but be prepared to wake up in about 4-5 hours if you drink right before bed. Water is 9 times out of 10 the culprit for "hunger pains", usually it is a signal for dehydration, and besides, drinking water is the best thing you can do for yourself (hear me Jessica??)

you can drink a BIG glass of water and that sometimes fills me up or chew gum or eat a Peppermint. That usually alleviates hunger pangs for me.
