Diet. Don't go anorexic though...just a good healthy diet, no junk food, and going to the gym to exercise. WeightWatchers I heard is really good. Crunches, situps, pushups, running, swimming, all those things will help you.

Either dedication to regaining their health, or surgery. 200 lbs? It could be worse. When that much weight is to be lost, they recommend you do it under the supervision of a doctor. They can help you through the steps. Definitely speak to one. Good luck.

Make small changes in your life, switch to diet pop, take your lunch, start counting calories. Portions - instead of 3 cookies, only eat one. When you get hungry drink water.. wait 30 mins and if you are still hungry have a healthy meal.. Eventually, you stop craving unhealthy foods :)
Exercise is also important, to lose weight you have to eat healthier and exercise to make a difference. When you are going to a store - park in the furthest parking space. Take a walk around the block, take the stairs instead of the elevator... these little things make a difference and over the course of the day they add up.
Losing weight is very difficult, and if you know someone that you can buddy with, it will be much easier. Good luck :)

Get yourself a support team first. Then go on a 1200 calorie diet and exercise program. work hard at it and keep your head up. The bypass surgery is okay but what there not telling you is that you will have a lot of excess skin hanging every where. and you will have to have a few surgerys to get that fixed.

Try walking. If I had to carry around an extra 220 pounds, it would be some serious exercise. Extend the walk a little bit each day. And switch to diet sodas.

My Best friend did it like this....he quit eating fried foods totally and gave up beer for rum and diet. It is alot easier for a 400 pound person to loose lots of weight then it is for a 200 pounder to drop a little if that makes sence.
