yeah, you shouldn't be drinking that much water, I think. But it also depends on your body size and physiology. Are you running around sweating a lot? Are you eating right? Although, you're probably in no danger of dying, it may not be so healthy for you

well it can be unhealthy so instead of always drinking water try gatorade so it can get all your electrolites back and you lose electrolites when you get the stomach flu so it can make you sick.

You must be going to the bath room a lot if you are drinking that much water. I don't think you are going to hurt yourself drinking that much. below is a link of electrolytes. I think you should be ok on them because I'm guessing you are not sweating off all that water your passing it. Also you are probably getting enough electrolytes in your food if your are not sweating it out.

Too much water certainly helps to eliminate toxins from your body but unfortunately it also flushes out more of the good nutrients than normal so whilst too much water may have some pluses it also has some minuses. It probably would not hurt your kidneys.
It is basically the old story again that too much of anything will have some adverse effects. Everything in moderation is a good policy.

This lady was drinking the water in a contest, and tons of it. This led to water intoxication. Way more than what you drink do. I drink about a bottle every hour or so, and it is great for you. It is also great for weight loss.
Here is an interesting article about drinking too much water and the results of it.

If ur thirsty it is probably okay to drink. You need to drink half your body weight in ounces, so I weight 96 pounds so i need to drink 48 ounces a day but more if im exercising, or if its very cold or very warm. If you are constantly thirsty, that is not necessarily normal, a symptom of diabetes is excesive thirst so maybe ask your doctor. I doubt you will die though, so dont panick!

You can seriously die from drinking too much water. Just drink something else than water like Gatorade or soda.

It can't be good for you to drink that much. But be careful, excessive thirst is a sign of diabetes. If you have risk factors for diabetes you should talk to your doctor.

actually, although drinking water is very good for you, there IS such a thing as drinking too much... your body needs a certain amount of sodium in your blood but if you drink too much, you greatly decrease these levels (known as hyponatremia) and risk the chance of certain internal organs having become swollen (because your body cannot excrete as much fluid as you are intaking), which can damage them and cause serious health complications. "Excess water then goes to the bowel, which pulls salt into it from the body, diluting the concentration of salt in the tissues." (see source below)
it's probably best to discuss this with your doctor. good luck!

It depends on many factors: sodium intake, how active you are (how much do you sweat), size, etc. If you feel concerned, see a doctor.

I sometimes drink a lot of water, too.
You actually can drink too much water.
You probably shouldn't drink more than one glass an hour,
It can expand your stomach.
I've heard of people who take ecstasy(I probably spelled that wrong) dieing, because it makes you really thirsty. Then, they drink too much water and it kills them.. not that I'm saying you take it or anything.

It depends on how your body deals with your body fluids. If you drink at least one bottle every hour, you could be dehydrated very often.

Well you may be thirsty but drinking to much water can kill you. When you are thirsty have juice or something else. You can tell if you are hydrated by looking at your pee. If it is clear you will be fine for a few hours. If it is dark yellow or brown go drink water..........QUICK!!!

Yes you can get very sick, or die, from an OD of water. If you are thirsty all the time, see your doctor. That's not normal. It's usually a sign of diabetes.

You can drink too much water and if you do, eventually your kidneys will not be able to work fast enough to remove sufficient amounts from the body, so the blood becomes more dilute with low salt concentrations. If you drink too much water it lowers the concentration of salt in your blood so that it is lower than the concentration of salt in cells. The water then moves from the dilute blood to the cells and organs where there is less water.
For example If you put salty water on Onion skin the cells will shrink, if you put too much water on it the cells will swell. This swelling is a problem in the brain. When the brain swells, it is inside a bony box so has nowhere to go. The pressure increases in the skull and you may get a headache. As the brain is squeezed it compresses vital regions regulating functions such as breathing.
Eventually these functions will be impaired and you are likely to stop breathing and die. Warning signs included confusion and headaches.
Symptoms would normally occur very soon after drinking the water, but if the gut is absorbing the water more slowly then it can take longer.

If you are really thirsty, and drinking water all the time, then I think you need to go the doctor b/c this is one of the cardinal signs of diabetes!!
Polyuria (peeing all the time), polyphagia (being very hungry all the time) and polydipsia (being thirsty all the time) are the three major signs of diabetes - so go to the doctor!

Yes, drinking too much water can be very harmful to your body. I would strongly suggest that you cut your water intake in half at least, if not more. It may not be a problem that your drinking that much water, depending on your medical history, so i would suggest talking with your docter.

Amanda, I would go see a doctor about that. You shouldn't be that thirsty. I don't think you'll die from drinking that much but it isn't normal. Now, it can cause you to be kind of foggy in the brain, I do know that. Sounds fun but it's not good. Go to the doctor and get your blood sugar tested.

no, you can never drink too much water as long as you pee it out.
That lady died because she wasn't allowed to pee, and her body couldn't balance it out.
drinking that much water is fine, and it's really good for your skin!
but if you find yourself constantly thirsty, you could have a health problem like diabetes. Maybe mention it to your doctor?
