Other than the USA an afternoon snooze is a great idea. In fact, there are studies showing a nap here or there in the day time INCREASES productivity!

i always sleep in the afternoon, have done since i had my first child, i used to worry because i would get to anytime between 12 and 2 and feel so exhausted i thought something was wrong, i researched it and apparrently your body naturally needs to shut down for a sleep mid day, hence the saying afternoon nap, hope this helps

A lot of people take an afternoon nap. It is perfectly normal, don't feel guilty. Helps to rejuvenate you. 30-45 minutes or so, set an alarm.

Sure, I take a nap in the afternoon every time I am off work. I feel absolutely no remorse b/c it makes me more productive for the rest of the day. Humans evolved knowing to sleep during the hottest part of the day, when strenuous activity would be more exhausting.

I got out of bed today at 11.00am and that was only because I had to feed the dog and let her out, then I lounged on the sofa until nearly 2pm because I was so hungover. I eventually dragged myself out near 3 pm, I'm still tired now.
But sometimes you need to sleep, (I didn't get in till after 3, or so I was told.....so no wonder I'm tired now!) So don't feel bad, your body must need the sleep.

I used to sleep in the afternoon and feel guilty until I read an article by a doctor that said, a Power Hour, in the afternoon is very good for you. So have your sleep enjoy it and you will feel much better afterwards. No guilt at all. Sleep well!!!
