Have you been tested for low blood sugar? My husband went through a horrible period of feeling tired like you and he went to the dr and when they checked his blood they found his blood sugar was low. He wasn't diabetic but just needed to monitor his intake of foods, and eat 7 times a day. You may want to check your blood sugar at the drs, and see. Try eating more fruits and vegetables, and more complex carbohydrates, like multigrains. You might also be narcoleptic also...which is when you sleep during periods of time that you are not supposed to. Go to the drs:) Good luck!

I really feel for you-i've got THE SAME problem, ive tried everything,i eat healthy,i do exercise..I dont know why i keep feeling very tired,my doctor did blood test few times now,but keeps on telling me that is my mental state-im over stressed, but i still think there is more to it,i believe is hormonal, because i was pregnant-and this is when everything changed after that, there are many reasons why you are this way-but im advising you to insist to you doctor that you feel different about yourself, and there should be something that has to be done, tell him- this is troubleing you, make sure that you dont leave it-untill they find out whats wrong,i hope that your problem is solved and you feel better soon ..
Good luck=)

have you got enough iron in your diet? lack of iron causes anaemia which means you are always tired. You could try iron tablets or multivitamins fortified with iron, or even increase your intake of spinach, etc. is a good idea to avoid too much tea and coffee anyway.
on the other hand if you cant sleep when you want to it might be something completely different. maybe it is stress as previously suggested. either way it sounds like it would be worth making the time to go to the doctors.
good luck and hope you get your energy back soon.

Instead of water, try the Sobe drinks, they have many flavors and different vitamins without caffeine.. Also you said u work out 2x weekly.. try doing it more often, just a 5-10 minute stretching routine does wonders. I also work at a computer, Sunflower seeds or something to nibble on helps sometimes.

Sometimes it's a good idea to visit the doctor, just to rule out medical reasons for fatique. Diabetes is one of many possibilities, but on the other hand your fatigue may be just because your a busy, hard working lady. Not being able to sleep at night has been the topic of many health articles, many of which attritube sleep difficulties with stress. We tend to think we're not under that kind of stress because we get 'used to it' and fail to identify it as such. But....your worry is enough to have a chat with the doctor to at least cover that base. Start eliminating possible causes. First is to consider a medical cause.

It could well be diabetes.
Another thing you can try is adding more protien to your diet. I don't mean the health food-snack bar things either, though they'll do in a pinch.
Also, try drinking more water: Fatigue has been connected with mild dehydration.
When you sleep, how well are you sleeping? Do you worry a lot before you lay down? That could be interfering too.
Good luck!

do not drink caffiene! i think maybe you should try exerting your body a little more. you say you walk for 60 minutes - try walking for 45 or jogging. if you're not tired when you get home, you didn't work out enough! and maybe its a mental thing, trying being positive, but im leaning towards you don't really EXERCISE nearly enough. and carbs are only bad b/c they convert in to sugars so quickly, but maybe you need some more sugars as well.

It could be depression. Fatigue is a big symptom of depression. Have a look at what else is going on in your life. Are you overly stressed right now? It also could be a medical issue such as a minor infection somewhere in your body that is not bad enough to cause other symptoms. Have you been tested for mono? I had it in high school and my only symptoms where a little bit of a sore throat and overwhelming fatigue. No matter what, I would make a doctor's appointment and talk it over with them. They can do the appropriate tests and get to the bottom of it.

It may be worth having a chat with your doctor just to rule out diabetes, and also depression can lead to some of the symptoms you mentioned.
Like others have said, it may just be stress, but you seem to lead a healthy life, so there is no reason with 8 hours sleep that you still feel tired.

I would ask a doctor. it could be an iron deficiancy or something. but a doctor could tell you if it's something to worry about or if there is something in your lifestyle or diet to change.

Diet and exercise can usually fix this. Some people find it better to work out in the morning. Some at night. You need to play around with your diet and exercise routine to see what works better. You should try bumping up how much you exercise as well as the intensity level you do it at. If there is no improvement then you could have a medical problem you should seek help for. It could be something as simple as low blood sugar levels. You won't know for sure until you seek help.
