Go see a different doctor!!
Hell... Go to an emergency room if that is what it takes!!
A big bill is better then not catching something horrible in time to get it fixed!
Don't let anyone tell you you can't!!
You can see another doctor no matter what insurance you have...
And if you don't have insurance find a clinic that works on a sliding scale...
Since your a minor you might even qualify for some kind of aid from the government.
Go to one of the sites below, finish the questionair, and sign up for whatever they tell you your qualified for!
Good luck!

Stop being mean everyone. I know what you are going through. I have whats called a veinous angioma in my brain that can cause headaches but just let me tell you that it is noting to worry about. I freaked when i found out about it and it is nothing more than a lump. If you are truely worried then i would look for a different doctor or try some alternative methods like aroma therapy or acupuncture. Sometimes this helps me and sometimes you just gotta climb into bed and sleep until it goes away. Good luck to you.

there are so many things that can cause headaches that you can not get a good answer here. For years my ex wife used to get blinding headaches and earaches numerous dr.s told her nothing was wrong with her then recently she was seeing a specialist for back pain and he found a bulging disk in her back which was pinching a nerve in her spine causing the problems. My point is that dr.s are just people and they can be wrong if you are not happy with your doctor go see another one.

it could be cluster headaches. i would go to a different doctor to get a second opinion. just so you can have piece of mind. the doctor should have given you a cat scan. I found out that i have migraines and have to take prescription medicine for them. look up cluster headaches and see if you have any of the symptoms.

have you ever had a CAT scan or a MRI? (its when they do those scans of your head and thats inside) because if there s something wrong in there it would show...other than that it could be a lot of stress, not enough sleep , or even the wrong diet and i dont mean really dieting just whatever you eat daily...also-you could have something elce wrong with you it just might be hard to figure out untill its way too progressed you know like in that show Diagnosis X i don't know if you know it its liek they look for what's wrong with the person for so long and they just cant figure it out and then at the end they finaly get it & r able to save the person....anyway i m just sayin it could be something really simple and you just havent noticed.......oh have you ever had a concussion or anythign of that kind? because i have like 2 years ago and i get headaches more and more often since then so i think i can relate it to that but i dont know that

why don't you think you have allergies they are common and because of the way ingredients get used in so many other products it can be very difficult to avoid some.
diet could have an effect.
have you had your eyes tested as this could also be a cause.
i get migraine's that are caused by sinus blockages. the pain is usually based around one or both eyes. i now use (uk) Sudafed tablets. you could try these, they will either work or not. as they are over the counter med's it should not cause any problems either.
as you have seen your doctor i shouldn't have to ask if your periods are regular as you should have mentioned this to your doctor if they are not.
in your teens hormone changes can take a long time to stabilise, and cause many problems. i think many of the mythical growing pains are probably caused by this. the ones that no-one seems to know what they are.
stress and tension is another possibility.
obviously i cannot comment on tumour's.
do you have any other problems, sensitive skin usually face, hayfever, asthma, as they often accompany allergies

Oh my lord! Constant headaches?! Get some help quick!
Ok in seriousness, in this day and age if there was a thought of a brain tumor he would have done scans already. I think you're fine, just takes some advils and make sure you are properly hydrated and eating healthily.

It could be anything...stress, depression...sleeping wrong....
If you're worried about a brain tumor rare as there are...get it checked out with an MRI that scans the brain and can tell you for sure.
Good Luck!

Have you been to the dentist. Sometimes headaches are caused by our teeth or gums or somewhere in the mouth nose and throat. If you had a tumer you would have excrutiating pain like a jack hammer. It would elivate you blood pressure. Pain does funny things to your body. Blurr vision, vomiting. Passing out , nose bleeds. hearing loss. Those things are survere. If you haven't been to the dentist, then go. It's a process of elimination. I have many headaches too. Almost everyday. I get the same thing from the doctors. I have allergies and also take meds. that also cause headaches. but I'm going to the dentist because what else could it be. I had a cat scan and it came out o.k. so we'll see. Try not to stress. Take some time for yourself and have quiet time. Meditation. Give your brain time to rest! Use common sense and try not to worry so much. That alone causes headaches. Go out and have some FUN!

INSIST on a referral to a neurologist. Sounds like migraines to me. IF you do indeed have migraines, there are many treatments available to you. There are daily medications (prophylactics, like flunarizine) that can prevent your headaches. They take about 2 months to work. There are also abortive therapies (like, Imitrex) that are prescribed if headaches are less frequent. A neurologist WILL work with you to figure out what is going on. She/he may immediately know based on your symptomology or you may be referred for a CT scan.
If you are worried about this and it is disrupting your life--sounds like you ARE and it IS, who cares what your doctor thinks? YOU know what is best for you.
Just because this idiot has an MD, it does not mean, he knows everything. Often, real doctors don't even know what they SHOULD know.
Insist on this referral. If he/she is not prepared to give you one, get a new doctor, or get a referral from a walk-in/free clinic. You do not deserve to suffer with head pain EVERY DAY, nor do you deserve to be treated with such disregard. If your current doc is not prepared to help you, you need to do what is best for you.
I am so, so sorry for your troubles. Sometimes we have to be strongest when we are most vulnerable. A seemingly impossible feat, but sadly sometimes very necessary.
EDIT: To Phoenix Quill and Elvis P. Good examples of people who must use others' vulnerabilities to make themselves feel good. So sorry your lives aren't fulfulling enough that you feel a need to do this. Your veils are very transparent though, so I hope you don't think you're fooling anyone into thinking you're anything but who you *really* are.

Hi! I'm not a doctor, but I used to get them too, Could be your sinuses! Have someone buy you over the counter sinus medication, that usually works. There are alot of signs if it is a brain tumor, please don't worry, they really are very rare. I'm sure your doctor isn't as dumb as you think he is! He probably knows what he's talking about, or he would look more into it. Tylenol Sinus works pretty good. Remember, you are only 16, and I'm sure the dr. knows more about medicine than you do. Do you get nauseated, see spots, wiggly lines, or throw up? These are signs of migraines. Sensitive to light? They also sell migrain medication that works well. TALK TO YOUR MOM!

I think you should see a different doctor. They'd be more willing to give you tests. If you have bad enough headaches to miss school frequently, they should like give you an MRI or CAT scan or something like that.
And even if there is nothing wrong with you, if you got tests done it would give you more peace of mind and that would make you have less stress and probably less headaches.
Maybe you eat too much salt?

Are you relaying these concerns to your doctor? If so, and he is doing nothing to relieve your anxiety, get another doctor. There are so many benign causes of headaches, that the chances of a brain tumor are extremely low. A few considerations: Have you had your eyes checked? Do you sit in front of the computer alot and if so, are you sitting properly. Do you listen to music on headphones? Sometimes the anxiety of having a headache can cause a headache. Worrying about a tumor can cause a headache. For women, water retention, menstrual periods, puberty can cause headaches. Too many to list. Try the eye check first. Maybe you need glasses, or a new glasses Rx. Tell your doctor everything you told us. Good luck

Oh, sweetie! How horrible! It very well could be psychosomatic brought on by your fear of the other girl. And they say the pain can be very real to the victim. But you need togo to another doctor as soon as possible and rule out any other possibilities. There are a lot of reasons for headaches and many treatable. My mother-in-law has terrible migraines pretty often too. Go to http://www.webmd.com for now and check on many causes of headaches, but put out of your mind that it is serious. It'll just make it worse for you. A prayer will be sent for you tonight, too. Good luck and try to relax until you get another opinion. You may be young, but you have the right to demand some answers. They should be doing a cat scan at least. Ask a parent or other adult to help you find some answers.
