Your all wrong. Ringworm is a worm about three foot long and one inch in diameter. It lives in your mattress and wakes up at night when you are asleep. It will crawl up inside you through any convenient hole in your body and it will eat you from the inside. It will eat all of you and as it does it gets bigger until it completely fills your inside, when it takes over control of your body and you become a puppet for the ringworm. It controls your every move, it will make you go to work as if nothing has happened and you will live life as before except you are now under the control of the ringworm. When you breed , your offspring will be humanoid ring worms, and they are taking over the world. A little at a time the human race is being consumed by these things and I am the only one that realises this. There is no outward sign that this is happening. The only way of knowing that somebody has been taken over by these Alain beings is that anybody who is possessed has an unnatural urge to run home from work and turn on their computer and go on to Yahoo Answers to answer questions. |

Despite the name, ringworm has nothing to do with worms. The proper medical name for these infections is tinea, often followed by the Latin name for the affected part of the body. For example, tinea pedis affects the feet (and is better known as athlete's foot), tinea corporis affects the body and tinea capitis affects the scalp. Ringworm is caused by fungal infection, mostly by a group of fungi called dermatophytes. Spores of the fungus may be picked up from another person, the soil, a domestic animal or household objects. |

Ringworm, also known as "Tinea", is an infection of the skin, characterized by a reddish to brownish raised or bumpy patch of skin that may be lighter in the center, giving the appearance of a 'ring'. Contrary to its name, ringworm is not caused by a worm but by parasytic fungi (Dermatophytosis). It can exist anywhere on the body.(Wikipedia) Dermatophytoses are fungal infections of keratin in the skin and nails (nail infection is called tinea unguium—see Nail Disorders: Onychomycosis). Symptoms and signs vary by site of infection. Diagnosis is by clinical appearance and by examination of skin scraping on Potassium hydroxide wet mount. Treatment varies by site but always involves topical or oral antifungal drugs. (Merck) Ringworm is a skin infection caused by a fungus. (MedlinePlus) Ringworm of the body is one of several forms of ringworm, a fungal infection that develops on the top layer of your skin. (MayoClinic) |
