It certainly sounds like it however a doctor would want to scope it out. Don't assume the worst as it isn't. You have to be sure, just don't jump to conclusions.

it sounds like it may be. you'll want to give the doctor a call. If preperation H doesn't work to shrink them the doctor can perscribe something. If that doesn't work then surgery is an option and not really as bad as people say it is.
as far as getting things moving my mom swore by prune juice...i hate the stuff myself but it works when I am desparate.

try a sitz bath for the pain it works wonders. it does sound like hemorrhoid's, so you can add a stool Softener before trying any laxatives,as they make you go too fast and that hurts too. congratulations mom!

yeah its probably hemorrhoids...bright red blood is the key here and short term pain. You really should increase the fiber, continue with the water, but a good remedy is prunes or prune juice daily. another thing is Sennakot laxatives...these are vegetable laxatives so no worries about addiction there...and no prescription needed but I hope you arent breastfeeding when you use these remedies otherwise your baby will be pooping all over the place as well LOL

It sounds like it is probably hemorrhoids. Fiber and water are good options to relieve constipation. The only other suggestion I would have for that is increasing your activity, getting out for a daily walk if you can. If you are still having problems with constipation for another week I'd see your doctor.

Actually there are 2 things to address in your case - one is constipation, because a BM once a week is not good, and second is the bleeding, probably as a result of internal hemorrhoid.
Although lack of dietary fiber is the most common cause of constipation, also not enough physical activity, as well as some medications can cause constipation. Furthermore, some diseases (IBS, chronic idiopathic constipation etc), change in lifestyle and habit can also cause irregular bowel movement. You need to find what is causing your constipation and make necessary changes to treat it. In general acid forming foods are causing constipation, while alkaline forming foods are preventing it.
As for the hemorrhoid Rue Care Oil is an excellent natural treatment that stops bleeding, shrinks the hemorrhoid and strengthens the veins.
