I was wondering because I would like to try it, (one of my friends said they would make a small cut on their ankle, and I could suck theirs from there.) but I want to know more about it first. firstly, my friend doesnt have any diseases, so I thought it would be OK, but are their any other dangers I or my friend could get from feeding on each others blood? also, how much can I drink? because I read the digestive system doesnt like it very much. and my main question is, can I get transmitted diseases by drinking blood? because I thought it was only if your blood touches the person with the disease. any help would be great thanx

drinking blood wont kill you, but you might get sick b/c of all the iron in it. as far as your friends blood, you'll definaelty catch something b/c, i dont know how serious but you will. doesnt matter if they are disease free. are you the same blood type. it may tatse like pennies after a while. i wouldnt do it. i bet you're laughing at all these responses. i am. when i saw the question i thought it was pretty freaking funny. good times. |

Be careful who's you drink. If you were a REAL vampire, your immortality would fight of the HIV/AIDS virus. If you are this vampire of which you speak, then go for it. |

No, it is not okay to drink anyones blood. No matter if your friend does not have a disease or does. |

wow... you thought you could only get transmitted diseases if blood touches the person with the disease... well what do you think drinking their blood into your body, with the diseases in their blood, is going to do to you??? why are you having vampire cravings?? lol i really don't think it's such a smart idea... it's not natural to crave blood... and even though your friend may not think they have any diseases, they still may have some that even they don't know about... plus your digestive system doesn't like it... all around, doesn't it just sound like a dumb idea??? i'd say it is....... |

I don't recommend drinking other people's blood. Even if you are a vampire. You can try drinking some of your own blood if you really are curious. It just tastes bitter like metal. Not really exciting like in movies. Really, don't drink other people's blood. It is so dangerous. |

No it is not. You should not drink the blood of any animal and man is an animal. It sounds like some attention getting ploy and a way to rebel. I would find another way. In addition, people can have either obvious or hidden diseases that you can get by drinking the persons blood. It is also just gross. |

I've tasted my own blood: it's salty and kind of metallic. I would not suggest drinking a glass of it though; you could get a disease and your friend could pass out from blood loss. I suggest, get a new interest. |

Yes you can get transmitted diseases from drinking other people's blood, it's NOT a good idea, also you can catch tons of infections, even if the person isn't sctually infected themselves. Also you're right the digestive system doen't like blood, so don't do it! |

my guess is the only blood okay to "drink" is your own which im not telling you to do because thats a huge safety hazard... besides how do you know your friend doesnt have aids? |

if anything, drink your own. you dont know what other ppl could have without them knowing it. they could have a disease brewing in their blood and not know it. |

Drinking raw blood could be very dangerous. People can carry many diseases that do not effect them, because their immune system keeps them in check. If you don't carry the antibodies for them, you could become ill. |

You can get Hepatitis from any contact with an infected person's blood. If you have any cuts or abrasions in your mouth, throat or esaphagus, you can contract HIV in this way. Also, you can only swallow a little bit of blood (they say a pint in Fight Club, but it's more like half a cup) before you get violently ill and vomit. |

of course u can get diseases by drinking other ppls blood. Anytime infected blood enters your body, through any method, u are at risk. Go find something constructive to do with your time forget about drinking blood. |

you know, there is a reason why most people find drinking someone else's blood completely discusting. If your friend has the same blood type as you then I'm sure it wouldn't be bad for you. Don't do it though!! That's gross!!!!!!! |

yes, if she does have any diseases you will likely contract them. On the subject of quantity, if it's raw entirely, just go with an amount to spread out about a square inch. I suggest you don't take it straight from the ankle, but if you like go for it. There are better places to take it from, but if she is most comfortable with a cut why not. |
