How do you get rid of TINNITUS before you go crazy???????
|
I've tried oils, medication, white noise therapy, natural remedies and nothing works!! I've seen specialists, they all say to get used to it because there is nothing to do!!! If someone out there had it and got rid of it, could you please tell me what I can do to stop the ringing before I go crazy!!!!

If you find out, let me know, too. I do find that the white noise helps me to not notice it as much. And I also get some minimal relief from taking Benadryl sometimes. But, other than that, I believe we are both stuck with it.

Well there is nothing to get rid of it but there is ways to mask it. Get a bird that sings like a canary or a parakeet that chatters. Keep the radio on a low volume and there are machines that make different sounds like ocean waves that will also stop you from hearing it.
Unless the electricity goes off I forget I even have it anymore.

Instead of white noise therapy, try some tone therapy. I've got this high-pitched whine that never stops, but I got it to back off by using a tone generator program set to what sounds like the same frequency. Tinnitus has different causes, stress, caffeine, tobacco, high blood pressure, all these things can cause it or make it worse,if yours is loud noise, like loud music, what you've got is mild hearing damage, and barring a miracle you probably are stuck with it. Try keeping the radio on, something else to focus on besides the noise your ears make...and try the tone generator thing, too.

Have you been to an Otolarygologist? Do you have dizzy spells where you sometimes you sense of balance? Any specialist who tells someone to accept a certain thing because they can't do any thing needs to go back to med school. I have it, but not to a great extreme.

Good luck.

You may have a low grade sinus infection. A Z-pack will cure it, if that is the problem, of course.

This is so weird, I have been searching the Internet trying to find
something too. My brother has just started having this ringing in his ear. He has been to the Dr. and tried things that others have told him, but none of it has helped. I hope that someone comes up with something that will help you and all the others with tinnitus.

Wobenzym, an enzyme product, has had some success in treating this annoying condition. Check out "The Aspirin Alternative" by Dr Mike Loes for details. It is available over the counter. swansonvitamins.com has it.

Sucks, doesn't it.
I have tinnitus in my left ear. Unfortunately, the problem is with damaged nerves causing the brain to receive a phantom signal and there truly is nothing that you can do about it.
I find that meditation, Tai-chi, fencing, and regular exercise help me to focus on things a bit more significant than that annoying ringing.

Sadly, there is nothing you can do or take to get rid of it, just to ease it. My husband has it and was told the same thing and he deals with it but has problems too. Until he got it, I had no idea it even existed. I feel for you. I hope someone out there has and idea for easing it. If they do, please let me know so I can help my husband. Good luck.
