Getting diagnosed with something/telling my doctor I smoke pot.?

lol I know this is a crazy question but I always feel really really lazy and don't want to do anything. I'm in my 20s and every time I want to do something I just stop myself from doing it. Some days it feels like I don't want to even get out of bed.
I just feel like something's wrong with me. And every time I smoke pot--other than the basic effects of being high--it just seems like everythings so much easier to do. I actually smile and instead of not wanting to face anything I'm productive and I get a lot of work done.
I just really feel like I want to know what's wrong with me but I don't want to seem like a hypocondriac or a drug addict when I go to the doctor.
What should I do?

wow. um stop smoking pot. its bad for you. And try to start over from there. Get up and do something with your life. Sometimes i just want to fade and leave all my troubles behind, but drugs..........no. You should stop that and start getting out of bed and i dont know.....start by building your energy. Work out. Something other than pot. |

You're depressed, and you need help. Your doctor will give you a prescription for an antidepressant, you may not like it, but it will help you. pot will fry your brains, drugs will only upset your liver after decades. Your choice. |

I would like to urge you to see a Dr. Tell you Dr everything. Believe it or not they can tell by checking you out if they can help. It is not normal at you age to be so tired. You may be sleeping too much. You need to make yourself get up and get involved The Dr. Can Help and you will be healthy as you may have another medical problem that is causing you problems and it is only able to worsen with time. A Dr can help you discover this. Be honest with him and he will know that your are willing to work for a better functioning body. Good Luck |

Smoking pot will make you feel better and everything seems super at the time. But it is not a medician for depression. I also smoke pot and I'm 54 years old lol...But I normally just smoke it when I have a bad headache (its the only thing that takes it away) and I get them a lot. I get really depressed in the winter time because of the cold and can't get outside so I hybernate in the winter time. There are so many people out there like you. A friend of mine was feeling tired all the time and she was told by a co-worker to try B-Complex Sublingual Liquid...she did and she had a lot more energy now so I started taking it too. Too me pot makes me lazy as hell and I don't want to do anything. But I do enjoy the high lol |

You may suffer from depression. Just tell your doctor about your drug use. He/she can reconmend a quitting program and also how to help with your possible. depression. |

I have the same problem. I'm depressed all the time I could care less if I get out of bed or whatever. But if I smoke pot it's like I'm a totally different person. I'm excited about starting my day and get excited over all the things that I need to do that I've neglected to do. and actually do them. WOW it's so nice that I'm not alone in this world with how pot reacts to my depression. I've been diagnosed as depressed. And I'm being medicated but it doesn't work. All the medications I've tried has never worked. But a friend can stop by and blow one with me and it's like I'm a totally different person. Now since I know that I'm not alone in this I'm telling my doctor. He might laugh at me but being a medical doctor he just might understand and know just what I need to get my life together. Thank you for your question. You have just opened my eyes to something that I thought was just me. But I relate to you. |

Technically you should tell your doctor everything. Heck, he probably smokes pot too. If he gets judgemental, find a new doctor....However, he will most likely diagnose you with depression and everyone knows that pot does not make depression any better. Good luck with everything. |

Find the best doctor for yourself, a doctor who deals with drug related topics. And then tell him EVERYTHING. Do not leave anything out. And then follow his/her advice. |

The doctor should not judge you... it will be useful for him/her to know this when diagnosing/treating you... |
