Yes. Apply warmth is the preventive as well as treatment of it as causes the stye to soften up and pus discharges, and the eye lashes come out soft and sweet, without pain.

I know this sounds crazy, but I have had a stye 2 times and it worked both times. Take a piece of real gold 18K or 24K, I used a ring, rub it along the eyelid where the stye is. Mine was on the lower lid. I just rubbed it back and forth a few times, like you see women do when they put on eyeliner. I did this a few times during the day. It was gone in less than 2 days. I am not sure why it works, if there might be something in the gold, but it works.

Don't worry they are quite painful; simply follow the advice you have been given. I had more than one stye as as teenager and so did my husband. It doesn't seem to be a common ailment these days. There are lots of old wives tales about relieving the soreness but stick to the advice you have. For the future make sure that you dry the eye area gently but thoroughly. Make sure that your face towels are very clean.

Yes, but I never went to the doctor about it. I just tried not to rub my eye and left it alone and it eventually went away.
Good luck! ;-)

I had a stye when I was in second grade. I had to apply warm compresses to my eye & had to use eye Drops as well. The doctor told me to keep my hands away from my sty or it would make matters worse.

put Aloe Vera gel on it and it will heal very soon
you may have an aloe plant .just take some of the inside of it and put it on the stye after cleaning the stye well with warm water
it works

Plenty of them. Most of the time the warm compress and yellow mercuric oxide ointment has taken care of it.

Yes, one of my little ones got one and gave it to the other two in record quick time !! This is a very good remedy she has given you. Please try not to touch or rub the infected eye as it is very contagious and you could quite easily transfer it to the other eye. It doesn't take 10 days to clear, more like 3 - 4 days .................:0)

A stye is basically a pimple inside your eyelid. Very painful and nagging pain! A warm compress and keeping it clean will help it go away faster, as well as the eye Drops. ouch! Feel better soon!
