I have used one day contacts for a couple of weeks. Just make sure to clean them with solution everyday and wash your hands before putting them In. You can develope some narly eye infections when you use them to long. BUT If your careful and keep them clean you should be ok a little longer than a day. However, I wouldnt do this to much you dont want to damage your eyes. Once In awhile should be ok.

It's not going to do anything serious, but I'm sure it can't be very good for your eyes.
You may experience dry, itchy eyes, blurred vision or redness in eyes. Wearing contact lenses causes a build up of protein from your tears. If you're not changing your lenses, this builds up and makes vivion through your lenses blurry, and makes wearing them uncomfortable.
In my experience, it is best to use them for the amount of time recommended. After all you only get one pair of eyes, so you have to look after them!

No oxygen to your eyes. I heard once that if you don't let your eyes get oxygen then the blood vessels in them can grow over your contact.. don't know if it's true though.

NOT a good idea. I use Focus Dailies and left them in for ONE day and my eyes were hurting and dry. If you still have your prescription you can go to any store (Pearl Vision, Lens Crafters, etc.) and they can give you trials for free with your prescription. But I suggest not even wearing them for two days. It can damage your eyes and are very uncomfortable.

You can scratch your corneas, or nothing will happen.
It's better to be safe than sorry.

You not suppose to because it could scratch the eye and cause damage and infection.
I have the two week contacts and make them last for months. My doctor doens't like to hear me say I use them that long, but what can he do?
I think it's just a ploy to get us to throw them away to buy more.
If your asking about not taking your contacts out at all......TAKE THEM OUT!! Don't sleep with them in. Your eyes need the oxygen. That I do, I take them out nightly, that's a MUST. And I clean them, disinfect them when I do take them out....that too is a MUST!!
I can't stress enough...TAKE THEM OUT TO SLEEP AND WHEN YOU DO, DISINFECTION THEM. Your asking for trouble if you don't do that.

You risk getting a bad eye infection. Also, there is a MUCH MUCH higher risk of getting an ulcer. After it's been in longer than it's supposed to be.
Overall, a very bad idea.

Lack of oxygen= Corneal ulcers- in some cases they cause scarring which will permanently damage your eye sight.
Infection/inflammation= Not being able to wear your contact lenses for weeks even months depending how bad the case is
Drying your eyes out, which makes your contact lens stick to your eye, which then makes it harder for you to get off, and there is always the risk of scratching you eye in that case.
There are also cases where blood vessels can grow across your iris across your pupil causing loss of vision.
Think VERY carefully before you risk your eye sight. You only have two eyes.....
PLEASE do not listen to the people saying its safe and there are little risks to this...That is not true...
If the lenses that are prescribed for you are not Extended wear lenses...they are not safe to sleep in... Period.
