Should I get contacts? Why or Why not?

I am 13 years old and i want to get contacts. I want to get color contacts but i dont noe if i should. I am mexican but i look a little bit white. Wat color should i get and show i even get color contacts? Also can they get stuk behind ur eyes and u have to have surgery to remove dem? Also is there any bad things from whearing contacts? Miss.Cola	You should ask your doctor and see if you can wear them first .And contacts dont bother you much.

Ellie A	i have cotacts i have not yet got them in yet but its ok to get them they probly will not get stuck and if they get out of place you just reagust them i is a little hard to get them in but i also want color contacts i just need to get them in first a good color is something that you like maby blue or brown are good colors i hope this helped you out.

Kaitlin	they can not get stuck behind your eyes. they sometimes dry out your eye abit. be sure to keep them clean. don't wear them over night don't wear them 7 days aweek give them a day to rest

zevers356	Contacts are great! I'm 14 and they work like a charm. They are pretty tough the first week but you get used to them. I have never heard of them gettin stuck behind your eyes so you don't need to worry about that. The only downside is that your eyes get dry every now and then. Your eye doctor will give you the type of contacts that you want or the kind that you need depending on the severity. I have the type where you put them in every morning and take them out every night. I throw them away every 3o days. Overall, get them!! they rock. It's wierd seeing things clear without glasses on. Don't let the first week get you down, it just takes practice.

Kayla S	I would get a color very close to your own. Just a little enhancement but not a freakish change. Contacts are to me a little irritating and were at first frustrating to put in but no big deal really. I had one slip up into behind my eyelid before but they eventually wiggle back down. I have tried getting glasses, but because I like the look but than you have to keep up with them more and risk damaging them. I'd say go for a brown that is just a little lighter than your natural.

girl w/glasses	contacts are cool i wore them for awhile and you might enjoy them when or if you get them. First off it is alot of responsibility. This is your vision and it is something that you need to take care of. No they cannot get stuck behind your eye they can stick in front of your eye but dont panic i have never seen this happen and if it does the optometrist can fix it for you. Just listen to your eye doctor and they will take care care of you

Sunny Gray McRae	Get green it'll look good on ya. Na, but they might fall out. Having to put them in and out is a hassle. They sometimes irritate eyes a little

j0vena	they couldnt get stuck in your eyes even if you tried. you have dark hair, so get blue or green. im asian and i look stupid with blue or green so i have gray. lol

Jenn	I started wearing contacts when I was 12 and I still wear them till this day. You may not be able to wear color contacts depending on your vision. I wear toric lenses and I can not wear color contacts. I am a very light skinned Hispanic as well and I would go with hazel or green.

guitargirlblg	You should get a blue kind of color contact or just get regular ones without the color. And i wouldn't recommend wearing them when you go to bed because they can get stuck in your eye. One of my friends actually did this were she slept with them in and then it was in her eye. she went to the e.r. and they use a needle to get it out. so if you are afraid of needles i wouldn't sleep with them in.

Babee Gurl	well u should and u shouln't. u should because some poeple don't look great with glasses. and they might feel a little wierd. u shouln't cuz u have to take them off b4 u go to sleep. even if u dose off a bit. u have to stick ur finger in ur eye and somtimes they can feel dry. putting drops in ur eyes iz not my cup of tea(lol)

Brazilian_queen	If you need them, sure. I think color contacts look fake, so I would just go for clear ones. There is no way they would get "stuck". You can't fall sleep with them on, it will hurt to remove them if you do. Your eyes can get dry, so it's good to carry some eye Drops, although I've never had that problem, it depends on what kind of contacts you get.

Trend Setter	Umm I'm thirteen too and I got them for almost 1 year and now they are irritating my eye...they do NOT get stuck behing your eye who told you that...when you get them the eye doctor is suppose to tell you what to do with them...you DONT sleep with them...you have a container...place the liquid they give you in there and then clean them and etc... * they are very confortable, but now after I wear them to school they make my eye red...but thats only me Dont get colored contacts they are ugly...they look totally fake... I was going to get them but I decided to keep my own color...brown...

rockstargirl	I think you should get contacts. Bad things may happen from using them but they are helpful if you are always careful. Plus I think contacts look a lot better on anyone than glasses.

Meggie P	u should get contacts. i have them and they rock. dont get color contacts, sum look bad. and i have never heard of any1 needing surgury so dont worry about that. every1 looks better so get them. but first u should chek 2 c if u can. my brothers eyes r weird and he cant but i have worn them scince i was 10, thats 3 years so i am 13 too get them

hotsoup18	i got contacts once but they were a hassle. it takes a long time to get good at putting them in, plus in one falls out... yeah. they will never get stuck behind your eye, one time mine rolled to the side and i thought i lost it but it rolled back in a couple of minutes thats how theyre designed. i dont use them cause of the hassle and i look good in glasses anyway.

muzicggirl	i'm also 13 & currently have contacts. i wear soft contacts & i've had them for four years now; so im very experienced [; i've never gotten colored ones, but i know people who have them & it's kinda weird.. well it's coool, but when you first start wearing them it just looks.. differently weird. anyway; umm.. yes. they can get stuck behind your eyes. though that rarely happens to people & has never happened to me. but that supposedly happens when you sleep with your contacts on which you are not supposed to do. cause your eyes roll back when you sleep and they can get stuck there which is why you'd have to get surgery so the doctors can take it out. i've slept with contacts a few times and when i wake up everythings all blurry & when i touch my contacts they're all dry. bad things about contacts; it takes a while to get good at putting them in. i remember it used to take me like 5-10 minutes.. && if you don't clean them well you'll get eye infections or pink eye. i've already gotten like three pink eyes & two infections one of them making me almost blind =[ && my eyes get irrated lots of times which totally sucksss. sometimes the contacts move in my eye and go up & down when i blink which is completely annoying.. especially during school, cause i always look like a retard trying to fix it.. if you do decide to get colored contacts, i'd say get green or blue. but personally, i hate colored. it looks really fake.
