6 years is recommended. High chance that you're eye could catch xephianina if you masturbate quicker than 5 years.

Trust me...you're not gonna be interested in much for 4-5 days...I had PRK and doing ANYTHING was outta the question...masturbation or even watching TV! My eyes burned and teared for about 72 hours after PRK.
Doesn't have anything to do with postop instructions...but to get the real answer, ask your PRK surgeon if there are any 'rules' about any kind of sexual activity.

I had PRK they say put the drops in one hour after to stop the pain but all you want to do is keep them closed, when I got home I got really drunk to make me sleep, if I had felt up to it a little fiddle down below would have worked but I needed knocking out quickly so I grabbed the wine bottle - so try a brisk rubbing first if you fancy it and hopefully you will drift off into a blissful slumber and wake up with crystal clear vision - good luck and watch your confidence grow without glasses.

depends, do you like to watch yourself? if so, wait till your eyes heal enough to see - if not, then go for it right away.

I really don't think one has to do with the other. Do it when you feel the urge.

you should wait till you get home, cos if you start doing that straight after the op, they'll think you are a weirdo, which to be honest, you probably are, asking a stupid question like that.

I'd would have expected a lot of answers for this question.
The problem you pose, is really more of whether you can damage your eye. When we climax, there are a number of things happening that we do not have control over. Many people tense up their whole body. Every muscle is contracting, breath is held, one is pushing sort of like straining while being constipated (to indicate a valsalva type of pressure in the lungs, etc.), and this increases venous pressure which is why veins and neck veins and face color gets all red or blue or ?, and for that short period, the intraocular eye pressure does go up. IF this increase in eye pressure changes the shape of your cornea, and the corneal flap is dislodged, you may have problems. Epithelial downgrowth under the flap can be a problem later.
You should have a follow up appointment the next day after the procedure to make sure things are stable. You might ask the person there if straining while going to the bathroom could affect your eye. If the question is just snuffed off, you'll need to ask someone who can take it seriously. It is a valid question.
As it takes the cornea a LONG time to heal, but not that long to stabilize after surgery of this type, 3-4 days seems like a reasonable answer.
