It is if you talk too much! Also, fire your therapist, do NOT pay him/her and go to a new one.

Maybe you are telling your story in a boring monotonous voice, so when you think someone is not listening anymore, throw out something from left field. In the middle of a sentence, just add something very unexpected, like "I caught my neighbor humping a dogs leg" and then continue on with what you were originally saying. That should get their attention, just have fun with it.

Perhaps your therapist is awake and concentrating
on your behaviour and/or listening carefully. Some
therapists who listen carefully want a clear mind
since facial expressions can have an interfering
effect on what you are saying. When I say facial
expressions, I mean both his and yours. Moreover,
many people think better with their eyes closed
because they have less information to interpret.
So, I should not worry, he is not sleeping but is
in deep concentration and will remember all that
you have said, with no images which could interfere
his interpretation.

Try this approach, quit thinking people do not listen to you. When in a groupif someone starts talking over you, simply hold up your hand and say you are interupting me. You might not care what i have to say, but please just listen. Then you can have your say.

Your name speaks volumes for you.
You need a new therapist. Do not pay the one you have for sleeping during your sessions. So what if you are boring, you are still paying good money.

WoW. Then you shouldn't be paying them now, should you? That is awful. Is it couple's counseling? If so, try going to group sessions where other couples get involved. I bet there will be no snoozing there.

your therapist is not very professional time to change to a more reliable one. She should be there to help you and guide, you are paying her for her services not to snooze while you try and relate your problems to him or her.#hang on in there and i'm sure you'll soon be on the road to recovery

perhaps you have a very soothing voice. look into jazz dj work. seriously, though, if you're therapist falls asleep during your sessions, a) ask for your money back, b) ask if s/he's all right (if you care), c) perhaps seek another therapist. try talking in a weird voice, or through a megaphone. think outside of the box.
