I keep myself busy. I get angry and then decide to go walk out in the field or something. By the time I get there I'm not so angry. And as I walk around and find cool stuff or draw in the sand or something. the anger has completely evaporated.

When i cry i try and do something that relaxes me. like writing, drawing, watching tv or listening to music. Music is my passion so whenever im down i listen to music that is upbeat and cheerful. One time when i was in this fight w/ my guy friend i was listening to my iPod and the song 'Apologize' came on and i started bawling. everything wrked out though. Music helps me...if its not sad music

when im sad or angry i exercise like crazy... and i write a lot of poems and stuff. i also find this really awesome friend named emerson to talk to. shes really open to anything and a great listener. but when im really upset, i work out and write=)

Listen to opera (ditto when I'm happy), sometimes cry (rare) and sometimes meditate. Occasionally cat nap. Or dark chocolate. Angry.. depends on what and why.
The comedy one's good. Especially stand ups like Billy Connolly. I have his whole world tour series. Hilarious. And rude.

get a new hair cut/style, new outfit and your best girl to hang out with...check out a movie or pub depending on age.. every one has hard times, but if you look at the positive make yourself get up and go out and soon you wont even wanna think about being sad, too much fun to be having, and a great style to do it...

i try to see what's good in everything that's happening in my life even if it's obvious that all is not well...

go out, play with my dogs and i NEVER listen to ballad music hehe
exercise will help----it triggers the body to realease endorphins which makes your mood alright...

well those are both good things to do but what i found works best is to think of happy thoughts even though it is hard to do sometimes. i would also recommend hanging out with friends or talking to your family. i like sports so when i feel sad i will go golfing and try to think about one of the fun times i have had before and see if i can stay in that time period untill i am happy again. the best thing i would say is to just try not to let whatever it is that is bothering you to not let it keep you down.. i hope this helps..

Those are two habits that feed depression. Try spending more time in the sun, exercising and most of all, smiling! Smiling is a sure proof way to start feeling better. Also, give yourself something to look forward to each day. Whether it is a desert you're having after dinner, or the next chapter in a book you like to read. Good luck and dont forget to smile!

A healthy positive approach is actually one not too many people think of; jogging.
Search wikipedia for "Joggers High", its when after running for a while at medium to high intensity your body realeases endorphins. Endorphins give you a drug like state, in this case very healthy, which will make you very happy.
Its second positive side effect is the calories you will burn which will make you feel even better as your body feels better.
