When emo people cut themselves, is it down your arm or across?

just wondering.Additional Details i heard that like down is suicidal....

♥~~~♥KAREN♥~~~♥	first of all emo people do not cut ...cutters cut... thats what people dont seem to get and by the way cutters don't have a general way of cutting ... they just grab a knife or a razor blade and cut in all directions ... i mean they don't care how deep they go or what way its only about making themselfs feel better... just don't do it it's bad and it leaves scars for the rest of your life and you don't want that ...i hope... if you want more info e-mail me

People often times judge them as dramatic but they really just more in tune with their emotions than most people. A cutter is a person who performs self-mutilation for reasons of either severe depression or anxiety. In some cases, a cutter will cut themself because they actually start to become emotionless except for the fear of not being able to feel happiness, sadness, anger, hatred, joy, sorrow. These people will cut themself because they need the physical feeling to make up for the loss in emotional feeling.

whisper	hey I don't like these answers. If you don't do it then you have no right to make such self richeous comments. I cut and have been told by my psych it's ok ..as long as it's not too deep. it is an escape from the pain , brings you back to reality makes you feel you are still alive. It is not always a shout for help, it is part of life , a coping mechanism. it should not be looked down on ,critisized or judged. The person should be accepted after all we are all the same. so please think about what you are saying as it can offend and hurt others. as for emos they only do it for show and thats a different thing all together and which way they do it i dont know.
