U R Disgusting, having such debilitating conditions which impact not only on the individual but also their family and community is not to be scoffed at. You obviously have a personality problem and if you are looking for a diagnosis try attention seeker.

There is nothing "cool" about a mental disorder, whatever it may be. You obviously have had a happy, secure life, if you're morbid enough to think that being mentally ill is even minimally attractive. Get a life. Better yet, go volunteer at a mental care facility and you can see for yourself just how "cool" it is.

What is cool about having a mental illness. That shows sickness in itself to pretend to have one of those.

Neither because it effects chemicals in your brain and you are constantly taking medication to controll it. Out of the two I believe Schizophrenia is harder to controll.

Maybe when society isn't so apt to think of mental illness as something a person can control, we'll find better ways to treat them. Until then, get a better past time and maybe some counseling on how you feel about mental illness.

Uve probably never met anyone with either, cuz no one suffering from either would call themselves cool. Be more considerate.

I enjoy Being Bi-Polar. The mood swings are more manageable.
I would think being schizophrenic is a full-time state, therefore
less controlable.

well with schizophrenia you can see weird things and have amazing thoughts n feelings, but they aren't very real. See the film donnie darko he is schizophrenic. Oh by the way schizophrenics DO nOT have two personalities like some people with dumbness mental illnesses think. Dual personalities is usually refered to as multiple personality disorder.
Being bi-polar can be quite frightening but is easier to control than schizophrenia.
So neither is particulary 'cool'.

You really are sick.

Many people who suffer from mental illness, and as a result of having that mental illness, have exceptional skills and talents - take Stephen Fry for example, who is bi-polar. So in answer to everyone who has so far said it is a sick question, it actually is not.

Having had experience with people with both, I can tell you that neither is a nice illness. Both are scary and lonely illnesses to cope with, add to that the social stigma attatched to mental illness, and it truely is horrible.
