Take a hot bath with bubbles. (if you can fit in the tub) or find a spa with a jetted tub. I go to the chiropractor and she helps relax my muscles in my back. Also exercises is suppose to help relief stress. Try running or lifting weights

I think it depends more on what is making you anxious.
Until you figure that out, any random answer won't help.
If you are feeling anxious and shaky for no reason at all, the best answer would probably be a psychologist or a doctor.

I have always found that meditational music played softly, and warmth(heating pads or stones), aromatherapy(oils or candles) have worked. Try headphones if background noise is a problem. Yoga helps, even just doing one or two stances, go to the library and look for B.K.S. Iyengar yoga books and look up relaxing poses. Do not take Benzodiazepines, they wear off, and you'll keep needing more and more, detoxing from them is very dangerous. Valerian root is a natural supplement that works for relaxation. It smells awful, but just hold your nose. Sleepy Time tea by Celestial Seasons is good too. Try relaxation breathing, breathe in through your nose to the count of 3, exhale out your mouth to the count of 4 or 5, continue for 15 minutes.

If you're at home and you have enough time, taking a bath, it always calms me down and helps me to sleep. You could also try watching a 'comfort' movie, as I call them. Maybe one that helps you relax, feel good, or just take your mind off something worrying you. One of my comfort movies is 'American Beauty' (the end of this movie calms me down alot...it's beautiful). If you're in a public place, go to the bathroom or somewhere you can be alone. Close your eyes, and breathe and try to concentrate on that alone. You could sit and hold your head in your hands, I find that helps as well, it steadies the shaking. Think positive.... I hope that this helped, I feel the same way sometimes too.

Take a deep breath, and snuggle into a nice and cozy chair. Get a music player, and play some soft music to listen to. Usually whenever you just sit down for a little bit, you are able to relax.

Chamomile tea can work well. Try "Sleepytime" by Celestial Seasonings.
Aside from that, just focus on taking deep breaths and clearing your thoughts. You'll soon notice that your mind will try to run in all sorts of directions. Whenever it does, just recognize it and return to clearing your thoughts and focusing on your breathing.
Anxiety can be a tough thing, but this sort of stuff will bring you back down to Earth at least for a while.

Exercise will help burn off the shakes. Yoga and meditation are also good ways to unstress. Also, don't discount the value of a certain amount of intellectual analysis of your thought processes - a few visits to a counselor might also help you focus on what's important and ignore the stuff that's making you tense - more commonly called an "attitude adjustment".

Certified Organic Chamomile Tea
Chamomile is a calming herb and is often drunk as a tea to help you relax and sleep. This tea is certified organic - a natural and pure way to settle yourself and your baby.
I personally think of Chamomile as more than a mother's tea, it's a mothers tonic. Here are just some of the great uses of Chamomile tea.
Chamomile tea has been used as a healing drink for centuries so it's no wonder that it is estimated that over 1 million cups are ingested every day. The medicinal properties of this tea are wide and many, but perhaps the best known is it's ability to help you relax. Many people like to drink it before bedtime as a sleep inducer and one herbal medicine guide claims that drinking Chamomile tea before bed will stop nightmares.
Chamomile tea can be purchased from almost any health food or grocery store. You can make your own by pouring one cup of boiling water over four or five fresh flower heads. Let the tea steep for 5 minutes and strain.
Healing Uses Of Chamomile Tea
- Add several cups Chamomile tea, to a cool bath and have a relaxing soak.
- Use Chamomile tea to relieve anxiety or put a handful of Chamomile flowers in a bowl of hot water and inhale the scent.
- Use a poltice of cool Chamomile tea for burns.
- To relieve insomnia, drink a cup of Chamomile tea at bedtime
- Drink a cup of hot Chamomile tea to soothe an upset stomach.
- Add Chamomile oil or tea to a hot bath to help soothe dry Skin.
- Use Chamomile tea and powdered milk as an exfoliating paste for sensitive skin.
- Cooled Chamomile tea can be made into a compress to soothe irritated and strained eyes and is reputed to help treat conjunctivitis.
- Chamomile is an anti-fungal, therefore a tea can help treat fungal infections by dipping into a cotton ball and applying to the area.
- Chamomile tea is also said to helprelieve menstrual cramps in women due to it's ability of relaxing the uterus.
Chamomile tea has been a common beverage for eons and its safety can be regarded as well proven.

Yoga is actually really helpful when you're trying to relax. You could also just try to clear your mind for a couple of minutes. When I'm stressed I meditate for about 30 minutes before I go to bed. I tend to sleep a lot better, and feel good in the morning.

Try exercise. Go out and walk 30-60 minutes every day. It is free, good for depression, will help you relax, good for your heart. It is just a good thing to do. You can walk in the malls if it is too cold outside where you are at.
