Who knows why, but to fix this, you need to see a Dr for some medication and then a therapist to figure out why.

sometimes a go through phases where I fell liek this too, and I dont want to talk to anyone cz they just wont get it. You dont want sympathy- you just want a release. Write everything down how you feel and then take a day off to do completly nothing and relax. Then think about what you can do, what people you can talk to about this and how you can help yourself. It may just be a small seasonal depression change too. The days get shorter, less daylight, cooler days. its a change too. Try to think of the positives!
Hope I helped

You may be suffering from clinical depression. If it really rules your life, I would definitely look into some meds. Try not to feel too weird about the whole situation. It happens to a lot of people at one point or another in their lives.

How old are you?
I would go speak to a doctor. Maybe you need some medication.
Feeling disconnected isn't always a bad thing. I've always been disconnected from people. I'm just not a people person.

It's okay. I went through the same thing and I'm still coming out of it. I don't think you really need to see a doctor but it will pass. It started at the beginning of my freshman year. I just felt like I wanted to burst into tears every second of my life and I didn't like talking to my friends. I would lie in bed for hours at night thinking about how bad of a day I had and I would beat myself up about things. It was complete torture and there were times I really wanted to go and talk to someone (like a shrink) but I didn't think I was THAT bad yet. But then one day I woke up and I was like hey, instead of moping around all the time why don't you get up and go do something? Life doesn't last forever and you're totally wasting away.
So I did.
Good luck :]

your probably just bored. You need to engage in something. Wonderful life events are just going to happen to you. Go out and make them happen. Try finding a hobby or joining a club? learning a new sport?
that or you have a serious depression. but i doubt it if you can still enjoy a good concert. Dont jump the gun. there is a difference between being sad and being depressed.

Sounds like you are wicked depressed. Try, Try, Try if you can to get out and at least be around people. You don't necessarily have to talk to anyone(if you don't feel like it) but get out of the house. Fresh air and just seeing people walk by will help you alot. Find out if there is a clubhouse near you. It's a place to go hang out and be around other people with similar problems. You don't have to participate but maybe you will see that there are lots of people in your same situation. Who knows, maybe you will take to someone that you think you can relate to. But the main thing is even if you don't want to participate with others, FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!!!! Best of luck and I'll be thinking of you, I've been there, and still am still like you in many ways. Take care of yourself-nobody else will!!!!!!!!!

If all you do is sleep and go to concerts then ya... you are disconnected.
Maybe its time to try some volunteer work at a shelter for the homeless or other work like that? Not that I am religious but going to church is pretty social.

I think it's hard (and risky) for an untrained person to answer this. I'd suggest you see a psychiatrist. Hope this is helpful to you.

I am actually studying to be a mental health counselor (still studying though) so my advise is just that...I really recommend seeing a mental health professional not just a doctor at a clinic. Mental health professionals specialize in this field. They will begin to determine if this is serious depression and what type (yes there are different types) they can also determine an appropriate measure of to help it. Not all will prescribe medication. Depression may sometimes be short term but can also be life long. Please seek professional help. They will lead you in the right direction. Do not feel embarrassed about this just go. I was told in the beginning of my studies I was told "should a person be embarrassed because they have cancer?" Of course not, it is an illness. Like wise with depression. I hope you do not continue to let this run your life, you can take control of it. Please ask if you need more information; I can ask my advisor for professional input

surround yourself with loving friends and family
dont push people away
if that doesnt work therapy is great and nothing to be ashamed of
everything gets better with time, if a therapist thinks you have something treatable with medication she has the ability to send you to a doctor or give you a prescription.

well you just need to be more positive like when you feel like you can't do something or just worthless just add today at the end of whatever you say like i am a ugly lazy cow ... today there for tomorrow you can be what ever and its not just you a lot of people feel this way i do at times maybe get involved in a sport or meet new people ... try and get more positive do something nice for someone else bake i don't no it also matters on your age .. if your older maybe you just need a change like in you job or boyfriend if your in your 20's man you have it good i wish i was you or if your a teen i could just be your friends because every one in high school has there best interest in mined not yours there for they use you and move on it sounds bad but its true

I think that is a question you might have to answer yourself; maybe you need to regroup and get some rest. or like I said you might have to answer that yourself.

Hormone imbalance? Get your hormone levels checked.
Do you eat a lot of food, drink a lot of sodas with Aspartame in it? This is notorious for causing depression, it actually turns to Formaldehyde in your brain (the same thing that mortuaries use to embalm dead bodies for preservation) and has been tied to massive amounts of people being depressed.
Also, it's wintertime in most places. I have something called Seasonal Affective Disorder. When the sun comes up, it signals our brains to start making Seratonin (the wake-up hormone) and stop making Melatonin (the sleep hormone).
In many areas of the country, the sun is not nearly strong enough to do this during the winter, and as a result, we do not make enough Seratonin and we continue to make Melatonin. This doesn't just make us sleepy, it causes MASSIVE depression, negativity, feeling so disconnected it's not even funny.
This has a simple cure though, it's called a Lightbox. A Lightbox has FULL Spectrum lightbulbs in it, while filtering out the harmful UV rays though. You sit in front of it for half an hour in the morning, and some (like me) also need to sit in front of it for half an hour in mid-afternoon.
Within days, the depression is completely gone. So check out if it could be any of those. Check Google for SAD (seasonal affective disorder) to learn more about that. Most docs who treat that will allow you to take home a Lightbox for a couple of weeks for free, to see if it helps. Before you have to buy one. Also check Google for Lightbox.
What I found that I didn't need to do, was take Prozac or anything like that which raises Seratonin levels. The Lightbox did that just fine. I was glad about that, cause I really didn't want to be on meds for it, when it was as simple as a lack of sunshine.
P.S. I had SAD since I was a teen, but the medical world didn't even realise it existed until the 1990's or so. Now they are pretty familiar with it so you shouldn't have a problem being tested for it, if that's what you have. Good luck!
