9. Start looking in the paper for a new job

Yoga/meditation or martinis. I usually try for the yoga, as that's a pretty healthy way to relax. But sometimes you just need a vice, and on those days...vodka martinis! :)

I binge eat, and then go to the gym for 2 hours to try and work it back off. Then I go home,and drink some beer to cancel out what I was hoping to work off from eating!

As I told my troops (when I was a Chief in the Navy), "I don't get stress: I'm a carrier...I give stress!"
Seriously, when I'm agonizing over something, I try my best to confront it, head on. Bad news, unlike wine, does not get better with age. So I will force the issue and discuss the problem until it gets resolved. It's not always the resolution I would prefer, but it's always something all concerned parties can live with and we can all sleep at night.
If a resolution isn't forthcoming, or not everyone can live with it, I state my case as best as I can and agree to disagree. I refuse to beat myself up over things I can't control, and i recognize the fact that I make mistakes as well. I'm as human as the next guy...as long as I learn from my mistakes and don't repeat them, I feel good about myself and can sleep at night.
Never, under any circumstances, would i dream of taking a depressant drug (alcohol being the popular choice) in order to feel better about myself/my situation. I'd be setting myself up for failure. Please don't do that to yourselves... alcohol has never solved a single problem in this world, but it sure has added to and created tons of them!

I found for myself that I love to write when most stressed. I have a writing corner and love it. I draw, color,paint and scrapbook. I spend some time crying and letting go.
Did you know that crying is so wonderful for your brain.
