What you are experiencing is normal. It is part of the loss process. I have had many people die in my family since the time I was 6 I have lost a lot of close relatives and friends. Grief is no fun. You may feel slower and forgetful because you are depressed. Do not get mad at yourself about this, you need to let yourself go through your emotions. It may help to go to a counselor or a support group or just to talk and talk to a friend or relative, blog it out, or join an on-line support group.
You also may be really freaked out about death because you just realized it could happen at anytime to anyone and that is truly frightening. It is normal to start to worry about yourself and start to notice things you might not have before.
If it helps to talk to a stranger you can even e-mail me and tell me either to read it or not just so you can feel some relief.
Here are some sites that may help. Just know you will have to find your own way through this time and there are many people who want to help.

you had a bad experience... 2 close friends died.. I am sure what you are experiencing is due to the loss. you probably don't get enough sleep and you can't concentrate because of that or have bad dreams ... If you suffer from anxiety which would be normal under the circumstances then you need some councelling ...maybe you keep your feelings bottled up too much and you should talk to a good friend that already does help.. I suffer from anxiety. that does not mean you are going mad.. stress can do that.. you should talk about it with the doctor.. no you are not going to die and you certainly are not sending me this message from the grave otherwise you get me scared.. you are alive.. believe me and you can get well again.. just go for help xxx and talk to a close friend too about how you feel..xxx

You are most likely to be experiencing anxiety attacks or on the verge of them. They are scary & can give you symptoms of shortness of breath and the feeling that you are going to pass out. The fear or feeling is that if you let yourself go you'll pass out & not wake up again. The symptoms of panic attacks are very similar to those of a heart attack where your heart pounds & you begin to hyper ventilate. Here's a breathing exercise to try the next time anxiety seems to overwhelm you.
Inhale for 4 seconds & hold it for 4 seconds. Exhale & begin again until you feel more relaxed. This will control your breathing & lower your heart rate & bring you back to a more relaxed state.
Anxiety & stress both have many side affects but are controlable with simple breathing exercises. The one above works best for me...

Well,
Many people go through many different stages in their life. You did not state your age. If you are in your teenage years then that would explain a lot. If not then a simple thing like too many things going around in your head may be the problem. Like you say it could be anxiety. If you are really worried then I would recommend Kalms pills. A very affective form of medication.
Good luck

At it's most intense, anxiety can make you feel as if you're in a dream or going to die - but it's not true. You will basically have to learn how to cope with these feelings and learn to lessen their impact on your life. I would recommend seeing a counselor who can teach you how to relax and cope with the root of your anxiety through writing exercises, relaxation techniques and medications if need be. After awhile, you'll be an expert at keeping your anxiety under control.

don't worry, mad people don't know they're going mad :) seriously though maybe go see a psychiatrist or therapist or counsellor, sounds like you're really going through it so maybe a grief counsellor?I get that dream thing though sometimes but I think that's just me being weird because a while back I got deja vu al the time and a random dream completely came true, and I can barely remeber what I had for dinner last night.I guess you might have got concussion, but my advice is see somebody it's hard to think straight on your own!!!

I'm sure it has something to do with your losses. When 2 ppl die in such a short period of time it's hard not to wonder when you may be next. You need to truly talk to someone and get it all out. If talking is not for you, start a journal. Just write your thoughts and feelings as they come to the top of your head. That really helps me. Prayer is good also.

First off change doctors because some doctors arent always right, get a different view, maybe you are suffering from depression? This could be true since you did say that 2 of your close family members die. If you think it has something to do with banging your head then maybe that might be it, go to your doctor and tell him everything, do not hide anything. And get his opinion, then go to a different doctor and then get his oppinion. See what they all say, if no one knows its best to take there advice and do what they say. Maybe so depression or anxiety pills will do the job.

WTF!!!???? First of all you do not die from a slight bang to the head. Since you seen 3 docs... They could be right. If you have insurence or have tons of cash.. get a C.A.T.SCAN. Only if you are serious because it is very exspenive. Other than that, it could be just mental which i am thinking it is. Just go out and have fun... like Bungy Jummping, skydiving, something safe but can scare you something serious. Dont do anything stupid like run across a busy interstate, highway. Just Something SAFE but scary.

well, you may want to see a psychiatrist as the medical doctors appear to have not diagnosed you with anything related to a physical concern. Get some help. We've all gone through difficult losses in our lifetime, and if you get help soon enough, it won't affect you as bad in the long time. I'll say a prayer for you.

I dont think your dead. I also don;t think you are going to die. See a neuroligist, and tell them the total truth. Also, you might want to see a psychiatrist.
Just a tip.

If you think something is wrong you are the best person to know.
If you think you have anxiety you have.
You are also grieving for 2 family members.
It is natural to question our own mortality when someone close to us dies.
Short term memory loss is associated with anxiety and a 'normal' reaction.
What you need to look at is what 'triggered' the anxiety. There is something in your life 'bugging' you - is it your job or your relationship?
If you cannot talk to your Doctor write all your symptoms down - they are duty bound to take notice. Do not ignore your own instinct.
Nip the feelings 'in the bud' - do not let them tell you that you are suffering from depression and prescribe anti-depressants. Work through the feelings and get support.
You are not dead or dying - you are just going through a difficult time.
Chin up and best foot forward.

Relax - take a deep breath , dont be worrying becauce you are not in a dream. If your doc said there was nothing wrong then hopefully they are 100% correct.
Take a deep breath and relax

i know the feelings of feeling like youre in a dream. it happens to me usually when i wake. not very often, but its happened before. the only way i can really explain my feeling, is i feel like whats happening at that moment isnt real.
but its propbably just anxiety. i used to have anxiety attacks where i would pass out. but they eventually went away. i would maybe seek the doctor again and try to maybe see a psychologist to help you out.
