I need help?! SERIOUS stress?

I have extreme stress from family, school, work, moving, etc. It's not just average stress, but it's waaay too much to explain in a short amount of time. Let's just say it's a 9 on a scale of
1-10. Any suggestions??? And I've already tried meditating, taking a break, etc. But it doesn't seem to help because I can't stop thinking about how much work I need to get done.
It's driving me crazy, I'm eating chocolate and chips all day long, pulling my hair out, etc. PLEASE help. Thanks to all!

talk to someone about everything or anything.
you could try writing a letter to someone you hate or dont like telling them exactly how u feel. don't send it though just write it. What you say may surprise you.

how old are you? if you are able to - go to a health food store and ask the people there for herbal or chinese tea that will help with stress...
i have used this is it does work... im not sure exactly why and there are no other side effects but it helped to calm... and i was having close to an anxiety situation when i tried it...
good luck and if you are too young to drive or get a ride or whatever... take a nap while listening to some classical music - even if you hate it... believe me it will calm your nerves

you're talking to queen of overreacting about stress. My boyfriend has to constantly keep me in check, which he honestly has gotten sick of doing. So I'vfe tried to just take one thing at a time. If you are still in HS, then I guess I can't really help you because you don't have bills to worry about being paid. But you just kind of have to force yourself to not thinki about everything at once. Just make sure to take long deep breaths when you are feeling stressed out. 4 seconds in, hold 4 seconds, 4 seconds out, hold 4 seconds.
Part of my stress was being angry about certain things in my past that was making tense and that still kind of had to do with things going on in my present. I made a list of everything I was angry about. at first it was really just to see how much I was really angry and frustrated about. My boyfriend happened to find it, handed it to me and said rip it up. I told him to but he refused. He was like, "no, there's a reason I'm telling you to rip it up, just do it" So I did. It's a psychological technique. Ripping it up symbolized it being gone. So far it has worked and that was about.. a month ago.
Unfortunatly I'm also the queen of negativity and poor self image. So I've kind of forced myself not to say negative things and even if I didn't SAY postive things, I tried to force myself to at least think them. Just take it slowly.
Also, if you are old enough to drink, or if you are not in highschool but are able to be a RESPONSIBLE drinker (I'm not trying to promote anything bad here) then it's proven many doctors recomend one drink a day because it lowers stress levels. Strictly! one drink. I choose mikes hard lemonade or something that comes in a pack like that instead of getting harder stuff. I have with my dinner or something. It has also helped me and even with the alcoholic tendencies in my family I have not become irresponsible.

You need to realize that everything will work out so don't panic. You obviously are overwhelmed. Take one thing at a time and focus on that. Stressing out isn't going to help the situation any and it is wasted energy, when you could be using it towards working on some of the issues. If there are some things you have no control over, don't think about them. Those will work themselves out eventually. Focus on what you do have control over. Also, eating the foods you are eating is only going to make the situation worse. Eat healthier (protein, fruits, vegetables, etc.). Remember, foods you eat like sugar, etc. can effect your moodswings. Try some camomile tea. This is a natural relaxant and also get some Calcium tablets. Calcium helps with the nervous system and will help calm you down. Remember there isn't anything you can't handle. Just calm down, relax and focus on what you can, one item at a time.

I can relate since I get extremely stressed out. Just RELAXXX. Plan out a day to day schedule to get your work done, just don't over do it. Plan "Me" time in which you can take a bath, listen to calming music, read, do relaxing things.
Planning is key. Do what you feel you can do and nothing more.
Let things out, talk and just vent!

not sure if im qaulified to give this type of advice, but when iget stressed(housework, kids, appts.....)
I take a warm bath, with a soothing drink, bubbles candles the whole bit, i make sure i stay there for about 30 min and let my husband deal with the chaos.
it seems to work for me.
if my stress is due to being disorganized, ill make a list daily of things i need to get done that day, and check them off as they are completed. by checking them off i see that im accomplishing something and helps me to move forward

girl jsut think about what you gotta do at the moment just for that day if you think about what you gotta do in a month is gonna eat you alive, just give it your best always whatever happens, is for a reason just always live day by day trying your best everyday, trust me sometimes i get like that i have a lot of problems too and so many debts i could jsut start crying right now but thats only gonna make me feel worst and it could even make you sick, is not gonna solve anything at all, so relax just think about what you gotta do today and get it done tomorrow is another day just like when you do a diet is easier if think you are just eating right and not thinking that you have to lose 30 pounds cuase thats too much it'll discourage you, just day by day, well hope this helps

meet friends..talk to them your problems and if posible ask them to have a short vacation with you in province(maybe beach or good scenery) very far from your place. just relax there, eat seafoods etc.. until you are fine.
btw, i heard that drinking 2 liters or more WATER will surely help you relieve stress. it helps a lot really! try it at least one week or more...you'll feel much better on youself..

sounds like your a teenager. Changes in life create alot of stress. Find sometime to just lay back. Maybe take your dog for a walk or go yourself. Spend atleast 30 mins. doing nothing a day. It will help

I think you should look into speaking to a counselor. If you are so stressed out that you are beginning to constantly eat and pull your hair out, I'd agree you've reached an unbearable amount of stress.

You don't say how old you are..but sounds like if you are home all day you might be married??
if you've NEVER experienced this type of stress .. make an appointment with you internest and get a good overall checkup complete with blood work. I know....but it's important that you do this..this isi a serious change in behavior for you.
Now...having said that..if you feel like this from time to time..
except for the hair pulling, welcome to the club. Most of us feel overwheled about 15% of the time..(my figure♥)
Only you can tell how bad this really is. Sometimes just getting out and getting some walking in...with a good friend who will chat about stuff...is the best help you can get! I can't strees (*^*) enough...evaluate how you are REALLY TRULY feeling and then act accordingly. As far as the choc. chips go..? Throw them away..it's either the garbage can or your waist line...think about it??!! No one will know or care what you throw out..Next time you shop, just be a little more carefull..you can't eat if if you don't bring it home!
p.s. Sometimes I allow myself to fall into a funk just because I fell like being left alone. You might allow some "down time" we all need that and some of ous feel guilty if we are not pushing o9urselves over the edge 100% of the time. Try to lighten up abit on your own expectations..trust me..on this ..I know from where I speak! Give yourself a
hug..from me..a friend!

You are only one person needing to do many things,Make a list and attack each problem one thing at a time the best way you know how.Get some help to do the things you need to do if it's possible.. Stressing out only makes things worse.
Don't be your worst enemy . It doesn't do you or anyone else any good to stress out.I'm not shure what kind of work you need to finish but if you take the one step at a time approach and do the best you can ,,No body can *****,,Not even you..............

people sometimes revert to prescription pills, but as a massage therapist, i say go and get a massage. it's a proven stress reliever. you don't have to concentrate like in meditation and you don't have to fill your body with unnatural chemicals. try it out

You have almost the same prob as me .. i'm eating alot of choccolate too and instead of pulling my hair, it is falling out on its own (cause of the stress) so to tell you the truth, now that all my stress is a little less, i feel very releived, i've tried everything but it didn't work. i even stopped eating cause my stomach hurt and i got nascious every time i did.. believe it or not, out of STRESS !! stress can harm us in all possible ways.. Just think of it as : what's the max that could happen?! I did my best... Hold on & remember that you can hurt yourself stressing at a thing that is temporary.. Is it worth loosing your health over it? whatever u need to talk about, you can email me & i'm sure i could at least listen & try to help. if part of your problem is that you have a lot to get done write a list, check off each thing as you get them done this will make you feel more organized. Have a hot bath before bed for the stress and read a book to wind down at night before bed so that you are focused on reading as opposed to having so many thoughts reeling through your mind right before trying to go to sleep, if you still can't sleep take a gravol or sleeping pill. Exercise when you feel like eating away your problems this creates endorphins which will make you feel better. also keep your house really clean, clutter will only make you feel worse because you have a harder time relaxing in a disorganized environment (it makes you feel disorganized and frazzled adding to your stress), last but not least BREATHE, remind yourself that stressing isn't going to make things go away its only making it harder to do what needs to be done, focus on the now and try to not worry about what needs to be done next week, one day at a time, one hour at a time, that's all you can do. And as for everyone one that keeps suggesting antidepressants i don't agree because they can be addicting and make it hard to get off of them again (I'm speaking from experience), if your feeling depressed vitamin B12 or go and talk to someone in a health food store about other alternatives before going on antidepressants good luck hope this helps :)
