Never to late to get more education. Getting your College degree at night will take about 8 years. This means you will done at age at 35. If you play your cards smart you make a career change into the area you want to work in now and start working your way up. Eight years from now you will have a degree, eight years experience in the field and the perfect age for a serious career move. Keep in mind at 35 you like will have to work for another 20-30 years. Do you really want to stay in a deadend job for the next 38 years?
Go for it!

You never get enough education, no matter your age. Did you not see the lady on the news recently that got her college degree at 90 years old?
Get out there and conquer the world, that's my motto! Good luck!

You could probably get a grant to go back to school.
It is NEVER too late!
My dad is 50 and going back to school because he didn't like his job!
Even if you continut to work, and go to school part time, it'll work.
you WILL regret it if you wait too much longer, you have more years ahead of you than behind you, do you want to spend them all with a job you don't like???
Go for it! Good luck!

It all depends on the answer to the question, do you want to be doing that job for the rest of your life?
I'm in retail at the moment and I've found that although it can be fun at times I don't want to stay in that area. I've done an evening course to be able to move. It has eaten up quite a lot of my free time and a bit of money but that's ok because the thought of moving jobs (and a little bit more money) keeps me going.
You could focus your education to get yourself further up the chain in retail if that's your thing (promotion means more money, although normally also less life) or to move into a different job.
You could do something just to keep your mind active and not actually use it at all. Although this usually costs money and apart from the enjoyment you don't really reap any benefits.
I hope that helps.

It is NEVER too late. Just think, in ten years you will be 37 no matter what. But you could be 37 with an education. My husband's friend went back to school when he was 40 and became a pediatrician. Many people in their 20's and even later are going to school to get opportunities. You should, too.

It's never too late to get an education. You can take a night job and/or go to school part time. If you want a future with a family and retirement, you are going to have to get an education beyond high school. Start now! Apply for financial aid! Go to school! Good luck!

It's never too late to get an education. Did you see the article in the Boston Globe about the woman who graduated from Harvard at the age of 82? It took her seven years because she said she was a procrastinator. You are so very young---and so many people older than you are changing careers and going back to school to train for different jobs. Go for it---who wants a dead end job for the rest of their lives? Maybe this present job served your needs at the time---but you seem to be ready to move on!!

Are you kidding me? You are still young and have plenty of time to get an education...Start off part time and then when you get the hang of school and can afford to try increasing your credits... If you even want to try working from home....there's lots of legitimate companies that do that..I know a few myself....good luck!

Come on now, you already know the answer!! You're just a bit nervous about taking the leap. I've known 60 year olds who've gone back to school. You already call your job "dead end" so why keep heading down a road you KNOW goes nowhere. Why not try the other option .. you won't know where that road takes you, but it will be SOMEWHERE.
Good luck and I hope you start loving your life soon!

Okay, as a community college grad, go for it. The majority of the people there are your age, in fact it is the average age of students there. If you are unsure about what you want to do, just start with a couple of basic courses like math and English. Once you are there, you will learn more about specific courses from the people you meet. Stacking shelves pays the bills, but a degree will get you a lot farther in life...Good Luck!

It can be too late to get an education if you not mentally prepared and have no motivation or a solid plan to do it. You have to want it in order to do well at school. And by posting this question I question your motives for wanting to go back...
