i've cut my wrists more than 100 times and i can't stop i do have a counsler and i don't think that he can help what do i do

You should go and see somebody about it. If not, go and snap a rubber band against your wrist or grasp ice really hard, it hurts, trust me. Think about doing it when the urge comes. Think about how it feels what you do and how you do it. Don't ignore it. I don't know how, but it works. I'll think about it and then I'll feel better, but don't acutally do it. I had cut over 600 times and I haven't for a long time, but I still get strong urges. It's very addictive, but it can be helped.

why dont you just think about the people that love you when you start doing that! think about what if you cut just a little tooo deep, and how much your gunna be hurting the ones that love you if something happens to go wrong.
no offense but i think that when people cut there selves its just a cry for attention.

Stop cutting your wrist isn't easy. I also cut my wrist, but i also cut in my arm. Normaly i cutin my arm, but when i feel real angry, mad, sad,.... then i cut in my wrist. Cutting in your wrist is more addicted then cutting somewhere else, like your arm.
I've a, you can call it a breaslet, but this one is broader. When I wear it, I don't see the scars on my wrist and then the urge to cut in my wrist is weaker.

I had a friend once who did that. Here is something that i found out. He started to do excercise and that increased his "good" hormones. You should see him now he is much better.
PS Don't look at the bad side of stuff, look at the bright side things no matter what. don't seek problems where there are none

Is anyone born with an itch to cut their wrist? What do you think brought it on in the first place? What you have is obviously an addiction. Personally, I don't care to have any scars on my body. I like my skin the way it is, except it could use a little tan. Then again, one day when you die, it won't matter to the worms what condition your body is in. In the meantime, think of yourself as a model waiting to get out. Make peace with who you are. Embrace yourself. Conquer yourself and be your own master. In this case, only you can save yourself.

whatever is making you sad change it. I dont get you people sometimes you act like hurting your body is going to make you fell better!! it make you fell god like 2 seconds and then your sad about what ever it was that made you were sad about and now your bleeding everwhere yeah that make everthing better you sad nad you have to clean a bloody mess up

You need professional help, a psychiatrist maybe , who can help sort out why you get some benefit from cutting yourself.

You should talk with your parents and get their help.

You should realize that there are all sorts of things in your wrist that you can mess up, not just the blood vessels but tendons for your hands .

First of all your counselor sucks. You need serious help. I have known several people that cut themselves. To stop cutting yourself, the easiest way is NEVER let yourself be alone. The other way takes a little more discipline, which I'm sorry I don't think you have right now, but have someone you can trust to call AT ANY TIME who will come sit with you. But seriously, you need professional help.

I'm sorry that you have that problem hun. First off, I'm going to start praying for you that you will have the strength to stop.

Other suggestions would be to get a different counselor if you don't think the current one is helping - I would think the first step from a counselor would be to discover WHY you do this. See if you can get someone like AA uses - they call them "Sponsors" and are there to talk to whenever you need them. So, when you feel you want to do it, you can call and have them talk you out of it.

Lastly, maybe when you're feeling strong, make a list of all the reasons you DON'T want to do it and another list of ANYTHING you can do instead. Keep this list with you at all times and if you are thinking of doing it, pull out the list & read through to remind you of why not to and then pick something from the list of alternatives - one of those alternatives could also be prayer. God loves you and will be there for you if you ask.

I hope this helps. As I said, I will be praying for you too.

I will tell you the same thing i told a girl with a similar question. Do not listen to some of these people who say things like you are crazy. No one could possibly understand these feelings unless they too have experienced them. However I do recommend you seek professional medical treatment. It is important to find the root of these emotions. Why you feel the need to do this. I too was a "cutter" so I know how difficult it is to overcome, and I can't even tell you exactly how I did it. You need to surround yourself with positive people, keep yourself busy, and try to see the positive side to everything. It may seem difficult to do, but your state of mind can make a big difference. It doesnt come overnight. You need to train yourself into seeing the glass half full. I did read a comment about wearing a rubber band on your wrist and snapping it instead. You should try that. You will feel some pain ... get a thick tight rubber band like one you would find on a stalk of Celery and snap it when you feel the urge to cut. I know turning your emotional pain into physical pain can be a relief, but the scars it leaves behind are anything but beautiful and you do not accomplish anything by doing this. You do need to find someone, a profession you are comfortable with, that will help you build the fundamentals you need to get pass this and through the depression you are experiencing. But know that no profession will fix your problems for you. They will help you build the skills you need, but YOU need to be ready to help YOU. nobody else can do it for you. If you feel as though you truly do not have the strength and courage to do this, you can always check yourself into a mental health clinic. Do not be afraid of lables and ridicule, do whatever you need to do to get through this, and if that means accepting helps at a clinic I applaud you for doing so.

Seriously, what is the reason for doing so? Are you sad? Is there something that may be wrong with you? By cuttin your wrist you wont solve anything but cause pain to the people around you! BELIEVE ME, i feel at times to kill myself because of stress but dont actually do it! LIVE LIFE AND MOVE ON is what i recomend... there are so many thing to do in the future and so many good things to come! GOOD LUCK
