How can I stop these thumbs-down for my answers from upsetting me?

Read other peoples answers and combine with your own knowledge and you will find you learn alot. No one should go around thinking that they know everything and are too good to be wrong. Bellatrix Darkwing	Don't be so sensitive. People's opinions are just that-an opinion. You don't have to take it. If you like an opinion, take it and learn from it. If you don't like it, accept that person and move on. Everybody's going to get a thumbs down eventually. Think of it this way-you can't make everyone love you. No matter how much you change and perfect yourself, there will always be people who will critisize and dislike you. You just have to learn to be strong and accept that. halfzeimer	You give the an answer to the best of your ability, and if someone doesn't like it, then tough noogies for them. If someone gives you a thumbs down, it doesn't mean that you are wrong. For that matter, it doesn't mean that they are wrong either. It just means that they don't agree with you. Get used to it. It's called the real world, and if you can get along with the majority of people you hang around with and work with, then you'll be ahead of the game. By the way,..... good question. Manda	You can stop the thumbs down by never posting here again. Really, that's the only way :-) Be flattered, it means someone read your answer and cared enough to vote. Remember, it might not mean there was something wrong with your answer, perhaps another answerer wanted people to like their question best so they "thumbs-downed" other people just to be rude? If you've written anything worth reading people are going to have an opinion about it whether good or bad. Writing things that people pay attention to should make you feel happy :-) Since you can't stop other people from being judgemental you can stop yourself from taking it personally. TIA	nobody is stupid! Everybody is intellegent in their own way. Dont ever get upset when someone says your stupid. People who say hurtfull things to other people are not happy in their own minds and need to degrade someone else to make up for their own personal comfort and to make themselves feel better. Mark P	When I go back to look at the reception one of my answers has received, I try to compare it to the other responses in terms of objectivity, insightfulness, coherence, completeness and quantitative support. I then take a look at what type of thumbs up/down situation I have. In particular I look at those who answered after me, as they would have had access to my answer. Melissa	Half of the time the person giving a thumbs down is the idiot. I get them often for stating straight forward known facts, not opinions even. Maybe they're on some kind of insane power trip with the supreme power of the yahoo answers thumb down. I think it just shows they're fools and it has no relation to my answer. Clam	I felt a little like that at first but then I realized it was just someone that is really unhappy with life and wants everyone else to feel the same. If you'll notice, most of the time the person doing it doesn't do just one or two but will go all the way up on everyone. philo	You have to realize that with the large number and variety of people who come here, it's inevitable that no matter what you say, be it ever so clever or ever so absurd, there will be people who think it's brilliant and people think it's nuts. Jo Bear	lol..don't sweat it, I get thumbs down sometimes and everyone has different points of view and different perspectives. I once answered a woman honestly about the legal system and her children. I didn't agree with the legal system but she still got upset that I commented on her question. Dumb then to ask and not want a response, especially if it's not in your favor. Don't worry about it too much, pretty sure in life, not everyone has agreed with you as well..I know in mine, I get those who don't agree with me either, but that's why they call them opinions. krazycatlady420	First off, don't let people get to you like that! Someone asked a question once about whether or not the son on I Love Lucy was their real son. About 90 percent of people said it was and I said it wasn't (which it's not!!!) and I got like 20 thumbs down. You know what?? I still got the best answer. Also know that there are a lot of low lifes that don't have anything better to do and just go around doing that to anybody. Also, there are idiots that just insist that they are right even though they know nothing on a subject and will give you a thumbs down.
