hurtnharry	Absolutely... it even has a name.. it is called precognitive dreaming... It is a very common thing..however.... make sure that you are not trying too hard to make it come true.. conciously or not. If in any way you try to make it come true...well... that is called a self fulfilling prophecy, and if it happens too often, maybe you should seek help. There is nothing wrong with precognitive dreaming, some people believe that it is as a result of an out of body experience.. some believe it is pure Bunk.. MICHELLE S	two wks befpre my son wrote his car off...he had a dream he was in a carcrash at the very same location as he did crash how wierd is that..but he also says on more than one occassion that he is woken by somebody climbing into bed with him(he should be so lucky)but he says its so real other things have happened but the crash dream he had will stay with him forever Was this answer helpful to you? anonymouse	Yeah once when I was a kid, it was bizarre. However, it's so long ago and also I am open to the possibility that I may have arrived at that decision through my vivid child's imagination. However, it doesn't SEEM that way to me. I was in the back seat of my parent's car in London, somewhere we hadn't been before and we drove past a school-yard. A lot of people think it's bullsh!t when we (as in more than I) dream of something that comes true. cuddles0331	Yes and sometimes it can be really eary. I have had numerous ones, i dreamt 2 weeks before had a tornado that we were going to have one (note i don't live in a area that normally has them) then it happened , it freaked me out , then i dreamt about a death that was related close to my family was going die and then happened. cecimad	I have. I also once had a dream when I was separated from my husband (now ex-husband), that someone was following me. I couldn't see who the person was but they kept following me and I kept trying to walk away. I came upon some stairs and proceeded to climb the stairs and this person just kept following me and they began to stretch their arm out towards me. I walked faster and they walked faster. I was not afraid but I was bothered that this person was following me. They kept holding out their arm with something in their hand as they got closer I could hear them say "Look" "Look". I turned as I slowed down and saw they were showing me a cell phone with a picture on it. I stopped to look at it and it seemed like I stared at it forever, only to see my husband (now my ex-husband) sitting at a table in a nice restaurant, dressed in a suit, with another woman all dressed up in a formal gown. I did not get angry as I realized what I was looking at. The next day after my dream I felt this awful feeling and remembered my dream and suddenly realized what I had dreamt was what I had been dreading for quitew some time. (my ex had a long history of cheating on me) I did some research and found out that he was in fact cheating with the same woman he had cheated with several years prior. I called her up and found out that they had been seeing each other for the last few years. He even had the balls to introduce her to our 2 children. Well she also got a big surprise when I told her that he had still been sleeping with me. Anyway, I really believe that my grandmother who had died several weeks prior to my dream was the one who was showing me the phone. I am very thankful that it happened the way it did. But I suffered a stupid moment and shared this dream with my ex only to have him laugh at me and tell his slut my dream so they couldlaugh at me and call me crazy in court during our divorce trial. Chrissy M	Many many times...one that comes to mind is the dream that my brakes went out on my car at a street near where I lived. I pushed the brake to the floor with no luck. The next day it happened exactly as I dreamed it. I should have paid attention huh? I did manage to come to a stop without harming myself or anyone else..btw...and Thank God. senior2tor	I had a dream years ago that came true in 1990. I had seen all Asians walking towards me and around me. Twenty years later I saw it come true in the bus terminal between the Mississauga and Toronto bus systems. There were no white people on the platform. alsgisdiama	I have had dreams that have came true...I have also had cases of Dejevu..When I was a teenager I kept having the re-accuring dream of being in a red car goin off of a high embankment..a few yrs later one of my cousins went off an embankment in her red mustang and was killed instantly..I never had the dream again...this is just one of the many I have had..some havent come to pass yet..but I am waiting.. Bronwen	I have dreams that come true all the time. I will give you an example of one of my more recent ones. About a month ago, some friends of ours who I will call Aaron and Amy had a barbecue. Aaron and Amy have been married for about 8 years. In addition to our usual gang of friends, Aaron had invited another couple to the barbecue, some people who are fairly new in town and don't really know anyone. Aaron knows them because he works with the woman. Two nights after the barbecue I had a very vivid dream that Aaron showed up on our front porch with a six-pack of beer and asked my husband if they could go to a nearby park and talk. When my husband came home, he told me that Aaron had said he was having an affair with the woman he works with who had been at the barbecue. In the dream, he told my husband that he felt he had met his soulmate, and that she felt the same way, and that they had decided to divorce their spouses so they could be together. Aaron had wanted to talk it over with my husband and had come asking for advice about how he should go about telling his wife. When I woke up, I told my husband about the dream and he laughed. He said, "I have known Aaron since before he met Amy. He fell in love with her the day he met her, and he has loved her ever since. Their marriage is solid." We laughed at my silly dream. The next day I was talking to my best friend on the phone. She and her husband are part of "the gang" and had also been at the barbecue. I told her about my crazy dream. She said, "Oh my goodness, I had a weird dream too! I dreamt that Amy showed up on our doorstep very late at night with an overnight bag. She was clearly very upset, and asked if she could spend the night, but she wouldn't tell us what was wrong." We both laughed about our dreams and said maybe the next time there was a barbecue, we shouldn't drink so much. I then called my husband at work to tell him about how my friend had had a similar dream to mine. His secretary told me that he had taken a long lunch because a friend of his had shown up at his work and wanted to take him out. My husband called me back about two hours later and he was so upset his voice was funny. He said, "Remember that dream you told me about the other night? Aaron came to my office today and asked if he could take me to lunch because he wanted to talk to me. He says he has been having an affair with that woman that was at the barbecue. He says she is his true soulmate and he wants to divorce Amy, but he doesn't know how to tell Amy about it. The woman he is in love with also wants to divorce her husband because she wants to be with Aaron." My husband was very upset. He said he didn't know what to tell Aaron other than remind him that he had always said that Amy was the love of his life, and that he had loved her since he first saw her. Did he really want to throw away a 15 year relationship, 8 of it married, for a fling? So, as soon as dinner was over, I called my best friend. I didn't want to spread gossip, but I have known her forever and I know that what I tells her stays with her and she won't tell anyone. While we were talking it over their doorbell rang. She went to answer it, and when she came back, she said, "I have to go. Amy is here, she walked over from her house, and all she has with her is an overnight bag with a few things in it. She won't say what is wrong, but I need to go talk to her." Well, we found out later that what happened was this. After Aaron went to lunch with my husband, he went back to work and talked with his lover. Together they decided that anyone they talked to would just try to discourage them from breaking up their marriages, so instead of wasting time, they should just tell their spouses right away. Together they went to her house after work and sprang the news on her husband. They wanted to explain their situation to him, but he was so upset he got in his car and drove off. They then proceeded to Aaron's house. They sat Amy down at the kitchen table and broke the news to her. Amy got very upset and told Aaron he had to leave, but he and his lover refused to leave until they had had a chance to explain to Amy why they felt the way they do. Amy got upset and decided she was leaving and going to a hotel for the night. She went upstairs and threw some stuff in a tote bag, but when she got back downstairs, she was so upset Aaron wouldn't let her drive. He forcibly took her car keys away from her, so she just took off on foot and went to the first safe place she could think of. It has been a couple of weeks since all this happened. My best friend and I have talked it over every day, and I have reached a conclusion. Personally, I think I take in information subconsciously and my mind takes all the little clues and puts them together, then presents me with a dream that makes sense of all the little clues I have seen but not noticed. I think that's why so many of my dreams come true. My conscious mind is occupied by everyday stuff, and I am not paying close attention to little details and clues, but my brain picks them up anyway. My brain then works them out and reaches the most logical conclusion, which shows up as a dream. As my friend and I talked things over, I realized there were several small clues that I didn't notice at the time, but which fit with the entire episode perfectly once I knew the whole story. For example, Amy mentioned once that Aaron had been going to the gym a lot after work, and that he must be gaining muscle, as he certainly wasn't losing any weight, but she knew he must be working out hard because he always took a dip in the gym's hottub after his workout, and then took a shower before he got home. Of course, he wasn't really goint to the gym. He was with is girlfriend, and then taking a shower afterwards. It just didn't occur to me that he might be doing something other than working out. Another little clue that didn't make sense until later was the fact that I had seen all these new catalogs at Amy and Aaron's house. I asked Amy about them, as they were catalogs I had never seen before, mainly women's accessories and gifts, and she told me that when they started coming, she had asked Aaron about it. He told her he had ordered one of her Christmas gifts online and that the company must have sold his information to a bunch of other catalog companies. Again, the truth was that he was buying things for his lover, and because he had to use a real address to charge things, the catalogs were coming to his house. The third little clue is that at the barbecue he never asked his lover what she wanted to drink. He always plays bartender, and although he has known me for years, he can never remember that I don't drink beer, but wine coolers, instead. As I look back, there were other little clues, but we were all so busy doing the everyday stuff that we didn't have time to put the clues together and figure out what they mean. And I think that a lot of dreams that come true are the same thing. We see things aroud us, but we don't notice them, if that makes sense. lola	I had a dream that my father had a heart attack and died. then I went to work the next day. I told my mother-in-law that if my sister called it would be bad news and Then the phone rang and it was my sister and that my father had a severe heart attack and ended up dieing a very short time later. I also had a dream about a cousin that I hadn't heard from in years and the next day he died. Kind of eerie. Another time my husband took my daughter to her grand mothers and I had a strange feeling come over me I just knew that she was falling out of the car. and when they got home he said to me you'll never guess what happened and I told him before he had a chance to tell me.
