No - I think you should just analyze yourself, I wasted alot of time in therapy- it was a waste, I can ask myself how something made me feel, and I know when I am acting irrationally or over emotional. Psychiatrist is for people who dont know that something is wrong with them. If you know you have issues- try to work them out with yourself first. - Just a suggestion- just dont develop O>C<D about yourself Like I did. IE> over analyze

i few details wouldent hurt us to know, but i would have to say no, i say you should see a councilor for your problems, possilby get a mentor before getting a psychiatrist, they cost allot of $$$ and i think they themselves are pretty insane.

talk to your doctor he and you can decide if you need help or drugs for a problem, or maybe just be refered to another doctor or specialist that can help.

It depends if you're teasing or serious!!!
How do you feel? If you're really depressed, think about hurting yourself, seem to be seeing things/hearing things that aren't really there. . . then, yes, you really should see a psychiatrist and S'OON! There are medications that can help you, and people who can keep you safe till you feel better.

If you feel STRESSED, anxious, LONELY, then maybe you should think about seeing a licensed counselor, social worker or therapist. Or your minister or religious advisor. A lot of times, talking about things will help you feel better and help y ou come to a decision about how to handle difficult situations.

Keeping a JOURNAL can also help with that. So can talking to a trusted friend, getting a hug, getting enough sleep, walking, prayer or meditation. Good luck and be very well!

Yes if you have a problem. Do not be afraid too. They can seem weird at times with they way they behave and talk ("Now while I talk I will write down notes.") #In a voice like the million dollar idea was just invented.# and act ( Nicknamed *Shrink* .) The prices too! some are $350.00 bucks just for a 45 min. session! Plus the Meds if you are prescribed any. Yes it can be pricey but better to feel better than not good. Hope this helps!

if you are having a problem, and need to talk to someone, you could try a minister. but there is nothing wrong with seeing a psychiatrist. sometimes you may need some medicene to help you get thru a tough time. go for it! being able to ask for help is the first step in getting better!!!:)

Well it depends. Do you feel that your emotional and/or mental state of health is being threatened by something other than everyday trials and stress?

Stress can be managed by a psychologist, who basically is someone for you to talk to, someone who listens (and is paid to) without making you feel embarrased, and also someone well Versed in dealing with common problems.

Psychiatrists are for mental DISEASES or disorders, mostly relating to genetic brain disorders and chemical imbalences in the brain and the spinal column.

If you want you could get yourself evaluated (for a fee) by a psychiatrist that your insurance company reccommends. Believe me, you'll want the insurance.
