My uncle did it when I was about 8,but I was never told it was suicide until my friend told me a few years later. I don't think I was allowed go to the funeral either.
And in February of this year,my friend(who I knew since I was 4) committed suicide the night before we were due to sit exams. He hung himself.

Yes, My aunties ex. No one Knows why but he jumped of a building. The whole family was distraught as it was out of the blue and he seemed so happy. R.I.P x

Yes, both my mother & my best friend in high school committed suicide. There were also two others I knew in college who ended their lives - both of these depressed individuals hung themselves.

yeah a few, and a few who tried but failed as well. one guy i know looked likes an older version of me, its damn freaky i still cant face his parents it freaks me out.

Not exactly. I know someone who died of a drug overdose (which I classify as unintentional suicide).
I didn't know him well, but it deeply upset me, as well as the entire student body of my school. And I mean deeply upset. We're an extremely small school, and it's the first time a student has died while still studying there. All the freshmen knew him, most of the sophomores knew his face, and the upperclassmen were merely devastated by the idea of a death on our little campus. Many of us also knew the dealer who gave him the drugs.

Yes, one of my best friends hung himself our senior year of high school. It was a miserable experience. One I would not wish on anyone.

I knew a girl whose mother burned down the house with her, her brothers, and father inside. They lived, the mother didn't. The girl's body permanently disfigured.

yes i did know someone. for a long time i thought maybe if i had been there more she wouldnt have done it. but then i came to realize that no matter what, she was a very unhappy person and there would have been nothing i could do about it. it has been a very long time now, over 20 years and i still think about her and miss her. i hope you never have to go through something like this.

One of my best friends in high school was getting picked on so much and bullied and he kept going to the guidance counselor saying that he wanted it to stop but it never got better. And one day he hung himself. And in his note, he wrote that others were just causing him to much pain. That was so hard to deal with. But there is always a solution to our problems, we just have to get the right help and we have to decide for ourselves that we will make our life worth living. Life is so precious and life is a gift.

Yes. Two people I knew fairly well, both of whom were trying to treat severe mental health issues by working a 12 step program for their co-existing problems with alcohol.
And it can't be done. You cannot treat bi-polar disorder or clinical depression in a self-help group.
How I cried at their funerals.
